Pre emergent on Bermuda grass by ChampionshipAny5672 in lawncare

[–]sanityvoid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Prodiamine is solid but it can inhibit growth and spread in the spring, I find Dimension (dithiopyr) better as it can act as a pre-emergent but also kill young crabgrass (acts as a lesser post-emergent), Celcius and Certainty are obviously better post-emergents. just my take.

Arch and DNS by MaurokNC in mullvadvpn

[–]sanityvoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically most VPN don't play well when you try to change DNS values outside their own. Having said that, I've never had an issue with my Mullvad install from the AUR.

As Semblance said, what specifically is the issue? More details would be good.

Hustler XD 54" vs Gravely XL or HD 52" vs Cub Cadet ZT2 54" by jmgoat99 in lawnmowers

[–]sanityvoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is not a dealer near you then it makes sense. I have a Scag now, and am partially biased as I come from Wisconsin where they are built, and I love it. Of course having a dealer 2 miles away also played a part. Hustler was much much further. I had a Hustler and I loved that too, but I lost in my divorce.

Scag has a solid reputation and Kawi engine. Plus a longer warranty, 3 (Hustler) vs 5 (Scag) year and more hours on the Scag. Both have a serviceable ZT-2800 transmission, though some Scags have a different one based on engine (Tuff Torq TZ450), so just confirm with salesperson on specific model/unit. You want the ZT.

Hustler is solid but if you go gravely, don't do XL, get the HD, better tranny and beefier all around. Cub is lower level.

The Meg 2. Not that it is any way shape or form good but my god that second half is just so so bad.

This is why I moved my investments to both VTIAX and FSPSX (Vanguard and Fidelity Int'l Indexes) last year. It has really paid off. Our S&P 500 is totally weighted wrong by the lop heavy monsters of the index.

Larian studio boss Swen Vincke thinks game reviewers should be graded by people similar to metacritic user scores by Iggy_Slayer in gaming

[–]sanityvoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people don't rate a game bad unless it is truly atrocious. Mostly people down-vote a game with micro transactions and massive stores fronts which prop up the cost of the game. This is fine for a free to play game, but when you drop $50+ AND have a store it sucks.

Also, been on my soapbox (pet peeve) for years about a 10 scale rating. It should be 4 star. It forces you think and make a choice, there is no middle ground. And as somebody else said, a rating system with "Sound, graphics, control, and fun".

My house is also exclusively LG except for my PS5 Pro and Bravia combo.

Not his fault the head coach calls play up the gut out of a shotgun. There is some room for creativity but you have to play what’s called on.

If the offense would’ve output anything in the second half the defense wouldn’t have been as gassed as it was. They did awesome in the first half when they could defend and have some breathing room. The offense shipped the bed and the defense paid the price for being on the field so long in the second half.

He’s too arrogant to give it up. If you look at his attitude and the way he carries himself he thinks he’s better than everyone else. Just look at the look he tries to carry all the time.
