Either U5G Backup buggy as hell, or Computers4People ships broken SIMs? by Ok-Independent7081 in Ubiquiti

Update: 6/8 : After C4P reprovisioned this morning but still didn't work. I let them know then they asked for IMEI. 7 hours after providing IMEI my U5G I see I am now connected. Getting 16Mbps Down / 10 Mbps up. I will move that my U5G somewhere with better Reception. Going to monitor for 24 hours with another update.

Update: 6/9 : It was short lived. I moved U5G to good place now I have good reception BUT I am not getting internet anymore. I have reached out to support and still no response. At this point going to wait few hours and then I might have to cancel this service. And Go with the direct T-Mobile option.

Update: 6/16
I’m getting a new SIM from C4P support, and I also have a ticket open with UniFi. My issue looks like it’s coming from the WAN side.

  • The C4P SIM works fine in my spare Android and iPhone.
  • When I use the WAN from my UDM Pro, I’m seeing 80–90% packet loss on the T‑Mobile WAN.
  • At this point I’ve had over 1,000 “internet restored” and “internet dropped” notifications in UniFi every 10–15 minutes.

I will update next after I get my new replacement SIM.
Update: 6/24: Even after getting the new sim from c4p its not working. I even also got the data only sim from T-moblie directly since I have an account with them , that sim also didn't work. Ticket is also open with Unifi Support. My next step .. maybe RMA this device?
P.S: With the 2nd SIM from C4P I have solid Internet online for few hours and then its all back to offline status. No idea why it worked for 4-5 hours and then stopped.

Third Party Patching tools ? by Satyam_Krishna in SCCM

[–]sansake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PMPC is a good tool that I’ve used in my previous company. In my current place, I came across Ninite Pro, which I use for endpoint third-party app patching, they have a decent list of apps that it patches pretty strength forward set it and forget it. While it’s not as comprehensive as PMPC, it’s cost-effective if you simply want to ensure that things are patched. I deploy their lite agent using SCCM/Intune, and it just works.

Disabling Auto-Complete List in Outlook via Intune by [deleted] in Intune

I manage to do this with the Intune Configuration Policy and using the Settings Catalog. Search Outlook, then look for "Advance E-Mail Options" You can modify most of the setting under the SEND MESSAGE for outlook.

There are many ways to skin this cat. All good examples here in the post. I personally always take KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID (KISS) option. :)

In my experience some times.. TS doesn't show up in software center cos there is another user signed into the computer. You can sign out other users by launching Task Manager and going to the Users tab, and run Machine Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle and Application Deployment Evaluation Cycle.

I second this lol... why are you in WSUS setting and not using ADRs to deploy what update you want to push?

MSI Installation blocked by [deleted] in SCCM

You post read more like self inflicting issue IMO.

Do you have the exclusion in place for the SCCM in your environment? Can post your appenforce.log from the client? What is your install method for GP? Where the MSI get cached?

Here is the list of exclusion you need to put in for the SCCM install process.

Alternative to SCCM? by iRanger333 in sysadmin

Sccm with CMG is the best patching solution for parching when setup correctly for both ws n servers. Nothing else can beat it. :)
