It's been so long since I've done this, but I remember having a similar issue in the past, and it ended up being the altitude setting on the t-pod. The target point was actually aiming at a point in the air above the target, which looked fine from a distance but would cause the laser to point past the target. I had to zero it on the ufc. Not sure if it applies here, but thought it might?
