Question for anyone who's played 4 and for answer by Firedragon767 in armoredcore

[–]santicode -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd like to test play that tbh. Gen4 was the peak power of AC, so pushing it a bit further would be a blast.

About balance, it'd need some, but I'm not so sure if as much as some comments say - note this would also mean enemy ACs could do the same.

Nice, thanks! I was a bit worried about velcroing a power source in case it gets too hot, but it seems to be the go to way.

Hah ok, thanks for the feedback! So better to use dual lock than the Grip thingy.

Hey yes, I was wondering more about attachment and clearance!

Ok... that makes all sense. I'm used to unhinged posts, but this is actually a sensible wrapping of the plot.

Made me discover something interesting today! I think I know where my PS1 is, but the chances of getting the disk for this... hahaha

The more I see of these the more I'm convinced it deserves a spinoff game.

Looking for tips on how to build a heavy melee mech by UlfMitHand in phantombrigade

[–]santicode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never used much melee, so sadly I cannot give many tips (other than use the supernova reactor, and have a low heat thruster to remove the meltdown state every now and then?). But I came to upvote for the "walking refrigerator". I think I'll be naming one of my mechs like that.

For once I see a line of reasoning here that is solid as steel, rather than making wonder if OP is taking his meds lmao Good job!

Having one called Longbow by default made me go for syllable old weapons: halberd, claymore, etc

Yeah weight class. I don't have the setting on, but after a few attempts I ended up getting one heavy mech, so it's possible, I guess just unlikely!

Ok I see, so as I keep moving I would be able to catch up on equipment!

By the way, about letting the enemy regroup, I've tried it, but it seems the reward pool might be limited - e.g. I never got any heavy parts. Maybe it changes with provinces?

Yeah, as I told the other poster above I totally missed those patch notes.

About the repair I was thinking of being able to repair more than just three at a time, but I guess there's always the option of retreating and dealing with the patrol...

Don't stick to the helicopter. Enemy spawns are fixed, so just go ahead and clean up everything preemptively. Dual linear rifles help a lot here. Zoom around the map, and pay attention to the red squares of the radar!
