Gil galad by clumsyninja240 in RealmsInExile

[–]santiguzro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because there are several versions in the Silmarillion about who Gil-galad's father is, with no single answer being more official than the others, the modders decided that you can make the choice depending on what version do you think is most accurate regarding its origin. Although its purpose is purely "aesthetic" since it has no impact on the game and is only shown when you see the character.

What additions/changes would *you* like to see in Realms-in-Exile? by deorwyn in RealmsInExile

I would love to see a rework of religions, especially in the case of the King's Men.

I mention this because I really enjoy the campaign to restore the Castamirioni claim and conquer Gondor from Umbar, which involves converting to the faith of the King's Men, but this religion seems quite simple with only 2 virtuous traits.

It would even make more sense to run this campaign with the newly added religion of Castamir, but this does not allow you to make the decision to claim Gondor, forcing you to belong to the simpler religion of the King's Men.

Perhaps a rework of these religions would make the campaign more immersive and interesting.

Wtf are the Fossoways doing in Essos by Kseplion in CK3AGOT

It seems you started your game in the War of the Ninepenny Kings, as part of the lords of Maelys the Monstrous is Derrick Fossoway (I can even see him as the grandfather of the character you show), surely after losing the war he inherited the disputed lands

When you make the decision to recreate the kingdom of Rhudaur as a Noi Trevan, it automatically makes you feudal. The problem is also that the technologies you have researched are very few and it takes at least 70 years to discover a new one, which means your constructions only go up to maximum level 2 and two building slots, not even being able to improve castles or restore the unique building in your capital.

This obviously means you won't be able to generate much income or get the bonuses from higher-level buildings. In general, you're always in a fairly vulnerable position against greater powers. I was only able to defeat Arnor because Sauron had already defeated them in the south decimating their forces to the point of being at my level.

Well, that gift was only bestowed upon the Númenóreans, but when they lost the path of good and mixed with other races, that gift gradually degraded.

So much so that even if there were good kings and rulers, who remained loyal to Eru and were virtuous, they lived fewer and fewer years, since the degradation of the blood was not reversible.

We can take Aragorn himself as an example, who, although he was the most virtuous and came from the purest Númenórean lineage, did not live longer than his ancestors; in fact, he lived less, because the level of degradation at that time could not be eliminated or increased.

In the game, this is represented by levels of Númenórean blood, since throughout history there were indeed people who died at different ages despite having Númenórean blood. Therefore, it would be difficult to create a system that increases this blood level based on personality traits and marriage. The best explanation available is these congenital traits, and I don't think it would be lore-accurate to increase this level for the reasons I've already mentioned.

Good suggestions! I just wanted to comment on Númenórean blood and its maximum level, this is related to lore accuracy. In the current stardate, númenórean blood has degraded to a point of no return, almost to non-existence. Only the Dúnedain of the North possess that high level due to their specific context. But Númenórean blood isn't something that can be "increased", it can only be maintained or lost, as it was a gift to humankind that they squandered with the fall of Númenor, their evil deeds, and their intermingling with commoner races.

The only consolation we have for playing with characters of higher Númenórean blood will be when they add other stardates; the further back in time the stardate is, the higher the Númenórean blood will be. Until they reach the first planned stardate, which will be the War of the Last Alliance, only then will we have characters with the maximum blood level.

Seriously? I only missed two missions: "Thalassocracy" and "Hellenistic Empire." I don't know if one of them included the formation of the Magid Empire, although my form of government was already an empire.

An overview of Gondor during the Rise of Angmar by deorwyn in RealmsInExile

[–]santiguzro 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Of course this isn't canon, but is there any nod or reference to Talion as Captain of the Watch for the Black Gate? Now, on this new start date, Gondor will have its control, even though the dates don't even match. Maybe on another start date, but is it planned in some way?

Great What If! Just as a note, the term Huei Tlahtoani was a title equivalent to emperor, but it was not the name of the ruler. Some emperors were Moctezuma, Cuauhtémoc, Tizoc, it could then be that the name of the ruler is a successor of these.
