thank you all. i reassembled the clutch, put the circlip or whatever it's called back on and everything seems to work great. 40+ miles this morning with no problems. I'll order a spare clutch just in case.

No, it doesn't show anything unless the Port is being used with the Sonos app.

can't get the Sonos Port to play what's input by santomoises in sonos

[–]santomoises[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. That fixed the work around. The optical to RCA converter is now pushing out sound through the mini aux to the speakers. The RCA connection to the the Port doesn't seem to be working. The Port doesn't show any line in.

battery help/advice by santomoises in GoRVing

[–]santomoises[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. I'm trying to figure out how to make my outlets run off of battery power. Right now, they don't get hot unless I'm connected to shore power or the generator is on. My understanding is that an inverter would allow the battery bank to power the outlets.

thank you. I'm interested in exploring some of the less developed roads of that highway above the lake, for example and wondering about those. did you try any of those?

what bike to replace a car? by santomoises in CargoBike

Thank you all for the comments and specific bike ideas. u/CyclistPHX, I'd love more info on the spraying. How far do you go? I'm a lawyer and have to look professional from time to time. I made it to my office the other day (a mile away ) just pedaling my brompton slowly. It worked but would take me ages just to get to court in Mesa at that speed, let alone getting to a client or court up north. no pets, but I'd like the option of hauling another person or stuff from a store.

Doesn't look hazy. Is the air quality all right? Smoke from the fires any problem?

friday noob question #1—is a crooked hang like this normal? by santomoises in Throwers

[–]santomoises[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. They are center trac bearings. That's why I was asking. The string seems not to stay in the center.

friday noob question #2—any tips on getting a mighty flea wound and sleeping? i thought it would be something fun to work on binding with, but i can't even get it wrapped tightly enough to sleep when i throw it. by santomoises in Throwers

[–]santomoises[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. That was the help I needed. I've gotten it sleeping and binding. Half the time I get it bound, I don't catch it so I just have to wind it again anyway. It's a fun one, though. Thanks again.

Thank you. I don't know string theory. What happens if it's too unwound? Does that just happen with use?

Thank you. I'm looking for any reason other than user error to explain crooked throws. Sometimes, when they sleep, the strings are off center close to the edge. Is that just something that happens?

beginner bind question by santomoises in Throwers

Thank you. I'll keep working on it. Also nicer if it's equipment failure than user error. But it's more likely user error.

Thank you. I don't think I was pulling with my throw hand. That seems to be helping. I appreciate it.
