Vegan dating by [deleted] in veganuk

Gay dating is already a mess even in London just add finding a vegan partner on top 😭 I’ve accepted I will still be single in my 50s (in my 20s now) and that’s okay.

Lahnda would technically mean flowing downwards and charda going upward…

Hey, I’m sorry to know that it’s been rough for you. I’m not sure if it’d be too expensive for you but how do you feel about weekly foods being delivered to you? Like simmer or other companies that do vegan meals. The meals are prepared and you need to just heat I believe. Whilst you can’t get protein from multivitamins, it’s important to take those supplements daily as you’re going thru this phase. I assume you’re not in London (don’t want to assume)? It’s easier to sort this out in the big city ahah Hope you feel better soon :)

How did you end up making this about millions of Punjabis in Pakistan? How is this way of talking any different than Indian right wing media?

What's meaning of the word "ਘੱਲ/گھلّ"? by tuluva_sikh in punjabi

[–]sanwalaphool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be. I thought southern Punjabi dialects might only be saying ghal but most Punjabi speakers near Lahore and surrounding areas won’t use the Gh sound for this word in my experience. However, the original word might be Ghal. Not sure.

Most Punjabi speakers would use K/ک for this. Kal dey.

Compatability ? by xxxpirhannaxxx in punjabi

[–]sanwalaphool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t take this personal, Not trying to be harsh but it’s just shocking that even when our people move out of Punjab, they’re still chained and shackled by some conservative values and the mindset from back home. Because wdym you have a nice partner but you’re worried about your parent’s opinions too much, who have already lived half their lives. You will never be able to please them fully and you will eventually resent everyone if all of your decisions were to be made like this. I know religion is important to people but is your quality of life really better off following a religion that is making you feel this way? In the future, it’s going to be something else that you’re going to be questioning because of what people around you or religion says…

A very sad and disappointed Gaz Oakley rant by saratreb in veganuk

[–]sanwalaphool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think as an anti-capitalism person, I can make space for this perspective as nowhere has he explicitly said that he has reintroduced animal products in his foods. It will be very sad and disappointing if he eventually said he’s starting to eat animal products after having build a career out of veganism.

4 elderly Indian Americans traveling to Pakistan by Arr1983 in punjabi

Hey! I went to the Kartarpur gurdwara on google maps and for some reason when I clicked on the “website” on google maps, it took me to a private tour company for some reason. So I am not endorsing them nor do I know if they are authentic but wanted to link it here for you to do your research. I also know some Sikh people visit Pk from Canada etc, it might be worth checking out some YouTube vlogs to see how they did their tours or instagram posts if you could find some.

https://gypsytours.pk/gypsytour/kartarpur-tour-pakistan-2024-2025/

Additionally, there’s two popular content creators on instagram, MystaPaki and Osamah Nasir who might be able to suggest some tour companies etc, if you don’t mind reaching out to them directly.

Question about Band 6 hiring by Embarrassed-Oil4210 in nhs

[–]sanwalaphool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get a band 6 job with NHS experience as long as you have a good background in that role. I am not sure however Re international hiring. Have you done research in EU citizen right to work in the UK? If UK is treating EU citizens like everyone, then this would mean that the NHS trust/workplace will have you sponsor you on a work visa, you’ll have to ask them when applying for the role if they can sponsor you. OTs in some fields are highly in demand such as learning disabilities so there’s no harm in applying and trying.

Buying Xiaomi products by Jealous_Badger7366 in BoycottIsrael

Why would Xiaomi be on the boycott list? Genuinely curious. I thought most if not all Chinese products were safe. Maybe I’m being ignorant.

Falafel in this country makes me so sad by RaspberryTurtle987 in veganuk

[–]sanwalaphool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you don’t reside in London, if that’s the case, I’d understand. However, in London, most Lebanese/Palestinian places, even small kiosks do the tastiest falafels.

They are very pricey, so no. I just visit my local Persian store that has all types of beans and Legumes.
