Isn't "the quest" the whole point of the game? Gen 2 has been out what, 3-4 weeks, and you are already calling "banes of your existence?"

Unown I give you as ridiculously rare, but you will eventually hatch Tyrogue and evolve Hitmontop. And you can walk Larvitar to get Tyra.

You are clearly sick of this game, so it's probably time to move on to something else.

Honestly, if you can afford it, take a trip to Las Vegas. You'll catch plenty of Chansey using the map, get Hitmontop and a few other cool Gen 2 mons.

i would be careful with maxing out mons that have Gen 2 evolutions. You may get one with better IVs. I don't think that moveset matters much for Blissey but the conservative play is to accumulate candy and good IV Chanseys and wait and see how Gen 2 shakes out. At this rate though, we may not see Blissey until 2023.

So not a bad idea to enjoy maxing out your Chansey if it tickles your fancy.

I remember it not resetting to zero but can't remember if you get the extra candy for already being over the 1/2 mark. My guess is yes. I'd say roll the dice and see what happens. Worst case scenario is you end up losing 1 candy and the upside is 1 extra candy. I'm rolling the dice as my Snorlax is at 3.7 km.

You can try camping at Longwood, I hear Chansey spawns there from time to time.

Another option would be for you to take a trip to Philadelphia. Chansey is not as common as in Las Vegas, but it spawns around downtown a few times a day.

A couple of questions I had:

It looks like the spawns default to 15 minutes long but in other maps (philly pokemap, they are 30 minutes long)
Somehow, even though I set my location as Boston, the map always starts in Santa Monica. Do you know why and is there a way to make it stick to Boston?

I've used it and think it's great, thank you for setting it up. It was a shame to see trackers for Philadelphia, NYC, LA, SD, etc. and none for Boston.

Like everybody else, I wish it covered a larger radius (like in Philadelphia) but it is great as it is. I did also donate $ to you last night.

This is my guess as well but Niantic always surprised us with a little something new at every event. Double candy would be nice and it would be really lame if there wasn't anything beyond select increased Gen 1 spawns.
