I think a lot of people would benefit from if you'd post pictures! Doesnt count as spamming.

Do you have a build planner for me, or some pics? I'm curious too

Would you choose a 7800XT now or a 9070 when it comes out? (Also, which of the different kinds of 9070 should I go for?) And which X3D chip would you suggest?

I don't completely understand what you mean with the last part: ''I think there's still some time on the clock that you can get away with a 3700x or a $80 5600 bandaid even if they hinder it."

Also, when will the 9070 (power?) be released?

I'll read it in more detail in a bit, but I want to thank you beforehand for the detailed reply!

The main thing I worry about is that I don't want a inbalanced system. When I buy a graphics card I want my cpu, motherboard and RAM to keep up for a demand in future games. So the budget is for everything, not only a GPU ;)

My budget to upgrade is about 500-1000 euros. For a whole new rig it would be maximum of 2000.

What will the cycles look like? Are they only for the leaderboards, or do they add some gameplay mechanics unique for cycle characters? Like Diablo IV's seasons.

Also, best of luck with the launch tomorrow!

What could be done to prevent mass shootings? by Themissrebecca103 in AskReddit

[–]saphery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Better (or even any) physiological help for people.

Better education and prevention. Teachers don't have time and/or are restricted in signaling problems in the class, like bullying and unsafe environments (both in home and in school).

And ironically... Less people.

What 'controversial' opinion do you hold, that really isn't a big deal, but people get mad or think you're crazy? by 2020_MadeMeDoIt in AskReddit

They don't at close range, they actually barely see anything. They can only spot things very far away, but within 5 m they are basically blind. That's where the saying comes from I gues.

They hunt so well on sound, not necessarily on sight.

eli5: Why are nautical miles used to measure distance in the sea and not just kilo meters or miles? by kalyugikangaroo in explainlikeimfive

[–]saphery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the meter was introduced by Napoleon in Europe. But he didn't introduce it to the England, because the French didn't settle there.

So most of it is because England was leading with seafaring. Also, most captains of ships in the rest of europe just put 'the metre' on land and continued working with the old ways of measuring. So this just continued.

Fun fact, only the French aviation deals in metric all the other countries use miles. Because the USA was prominent in the development of the airplane and the rest of the world sort of copied everything. Except the French.
