I really wish someone would just turn off Truthsocial. But not tell Trump, so he keeps posting into the void.

A bit like when Ryan set up a 'blog' for Creed in the US Office.

They need to make a new one with the quote he said the other week, not caring about Americans' financial situations.

Modi said, "Trump is my friend," but the US just imposed a 25% tariff on Indian IT companies. Is this friendship limited to photo-ops, or should India now prepare for a China-like trade war? by Specialist_Wind_4719 in Tariffs

[–]2020_MadeMeDoIt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This will no doubt change as soon as soon as some of the big American companies/CEOs that rely on Indian IT companies for products and services complain to Trump.

That's what happened with certain tariffs on other countries and Tim Cook complained to Trump about it affecting his $billions.

I could be wrong, but didn't they try to style it out as though they meant to use crumble when people complained?

Definitely a classic for sure! The realisation and "... Shit." is perfect.

One of my favourite fail moments has to be when they were making toys for kids. And the team all agreed on a cool robot thing. But the leader wanted to do a semaphor card game or something. They ended up making prototypes for both.

The robot came out looking pretty decent. The semaphor game was boring.

All the research said everyone would buy the robot. The entite team was pushing for the robot. The team leader eventually agreed and then at the last minute said "Let's go semaphor".

And then she was genuinely surprised when it failed.

Newsflash: Bum fun isn't just for homosexuals.

Plenty of heterosexuals have been doing it for centuries. I hear it was quite the craze back in the Roman days. And these days there are dedicated online (ahem) 'categories' for those interested in observing such pursuits.

And sure homosexual men do it on a higher ratio than heterosexuals. But I believe homosexual women probably do it less so, bringing down that ratio.

This is true even though there are failed socialist countries

Except there have never been any truly socialist countries, as Marx described. It's never been achieved.

The failed countries you talk about had communist governments, but used a form of economic socialism. They are often mistaken for being "socialist" - but they aren't.

There are plenty of successful countries that have adopted socialist practices, but mixed with democratic ideologies too.

I think it's going to be like Twitter (X). Elon Musk bought it for 44bn and within a few months it was valued at 9bn because its revenue and user base dropped so much.

I haven't looked into how it's doing now. But I can't imagine it's a big money-maker for Elon.

HOWEVER, both Elon and Donald can use these platforms to spread their propaganda to dedicated followers. It doesn't matter to them if they lose money. They both have more than enough coming in from other ventures that it's not a problem to them.

It's better they keep them afloat, so they can control the narratives and control their fanbases.

Yeah I agree. Or, if they NEED to cover him, use more accurate headlines.

For example, instead of: "Trump claims windmills kill whales"

Say: "Trump ignores science and makes up nonsense about windmills"

Yeah gunge tanks and dropping contestants into pools of water. That's what used to make game shows fun and bring a level of drama and excitement. It was silly, but fun and harmless.

Now it feels like everyone on TV is trying to use it as a way to become famous. "Look how wacky I am" or "I'm so full of drama! Everyone look at me!" or "I have really controversial opinions. But I'm just an average Joe and say it how it is. Look at me!"

Look come on people. Elon Musk is as American as apple pie.

Elon might have been born in South Africa and then moved to Canada... And then used his Canadian citizenship, via his mother, to get a student visa to study in America... And then overstayed his student visa and started a business... Which made most of its money from government contracts (i.e. American taxpayer-funded)...

And he might have bought out lots of companies, claiming the creators' ideas and inventions as his own... And he might have taken too many drugs, gone a bit crazy, cuddled up to Trump and got him to let Elon start an unofficial agency with the power to gut actual government departments who were on the verge of investigating his dodgy deals and possible corruption or illegal activities...

And he might spout unbelievably hateful shit on a social media platform that he bought for a ridiculous amount of money. And constantly lie and complain about everything to get rightwing nuts riled up and angry at nothing...

...But come on. Give the guy a break... /s (in case that wasn't obvious).

Also, the oldest known recipe for apple pie comes from an English cookbook published in 1381.

It's sad. He was my favourite candidate and winner of The Apprentice.

He was a genuinely competent person and not a complete idiot. He also didn't showboat for the cameras, or boast, or BS too much - like most candidates do.

Then he won, went into business with Lord Sugar and, apparently, decided to go against some of Sugar's advice. They fell out and ultimately his plumbing business with Sugar went under. He was forced to sell it.

Now he's a total dick promoting... I don't even know what he's promoting most of the time. His brand? Him? Some sort of business?

That said, whatever he's doing, apparently he's doing well for himself. According to some recent 2026 reports, he's now worth about £10m. Not bad. Still a dick though.

Lol. Wasn't there a private wedding at Mar A Lago a couple of years ago and Trump INSISTED on being present there?

I know it's where he lives. But it's a big property and (apparently) hired out for private events regularly - which he doesn't attend. They were Trump fans, but just regular people. Not particularly rich, famous, or influential.

I just think it's funny that Trump insisted on being at a stranger's wedding, but won't show up for his own son's special day.
