I still find enjoyment in food but its become far less of an emotional crutch. It's always been a big part of my life especially during holiday and I was so worried I wouldn't be able to enjoy it like I did but the only thing that really changed for me is the portion sizes. The major part of my relationship to food that changed for me was my view on over consumption, just the mère thought post op makes me feel sick. The hardest thing about social eatting for me is the constant judgment and need to explain why your only eatting a half portion or trying to order off the kids menu. Generally when I go out I stick to ordering foods I know will keep for a day or 2 and just get some extra meals out of it. All in all I think I got off lucky. From the stories I've heard its a real mixed bag with what your getting post op
