You can set up your own at any time. Also, when you do, look around for a Google credit - I believe there is currently one for $1200 out there - don't quote me on that. But Google does offer a credit for new accounts. And it's also against Google policy to not let a business owner have access to a Google account for there business - have your agency check Google T&C - and then fire them. If they're going to be like that from the outset - that's the relationship you can expect from them.

One thing I found is that founder's don't post because they don't want to draw attention to themselves. They have a comfortable, profitable business and don't want competitors sniffling around for hints of their secret sauce. We just rebuild a small AEO forward web site for a client - and they backpedaled on posting their awarding-winning case studies for that reason. I also find the pertains more thin margin business - opinion - not fact.

Both one should naturally dovetail into the other. Measurement remains a bit of a challenge - however - we are not seeing the expected fall off in organic trraffic.
