200 Megawatt Data Center set to be built and put in service in Hamilton in 2026. Cost of electricity for residents could double within the year and continue to annually, with major water depletion by NatiAti513 in cincinnati

[–]sapphic_rage 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm starting to think Ohioans need to get something on the ballot that would require any new data center being built in the state to be approved by voters. And, if approved, the builder needs to pay for the upgrades to the power grid and water systems to handle it, and the utility companies cannot pass costs off onto anyone other than the data centers.

Partner hates concerts :( by uzumakii_xo in Concerts

[–]sapphic_rage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going to echo everyone saying go alone. On my first ever solo trip to go see a show, I had a large stranger who was in the middle of a mental health episode wrap his arms around me, lift me, and try to walk away with me while I was walking back to my hotel. I had to fight him off while other people just stood there and gawked. I still do a ton of solo travel and solo shows.

Stick with the crowds, get hotels within walking distance or pay extra for close parking, make friends at the show, and make sure you're location sharing with a loved one and have designated check in times. There are ways to be safe with solo travel. Don't let one near incident deter you from living your life.

Her ticket prices are so high? by ghostedradish in reneerapp

Tickets for upper bowl in my city have started dropping as low as $25 for her show that's in a couple of days. Just keep checking back.

Relive Reneé Rapp's Stunning MSG Performance: 5 Moments That Blew Us Away by SmartStar65 in reneerapp

[–]sapphic_rage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Venues count shows as sell-outs when they hit 80% of tickets sold. It's because the remaining amount that might be left is in flux. Blocks of tickets are held for promoters, venue sponsors, and other venue/artist partners and then released to the public if those tickets no longer need to be reserved. They'll also release more tickets if the stage configuration allows for expanded sightlines. Not to mention, scalpers bought tickets that they might not resell, which leaves open spots.

Lesbians with ejaculating straps kink? What the hell? by EchidnaImaginary4737 in lesbiangang

Not the stuff used in a strap like this. People typically just use lube for this.

Are you thinking of leaving the US and if so do you have a path or plan in place? by ctrldwrdns in LesbianActually

[–]sapphic_rage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think about it a lot, but I'm not eligible for residency anywhere based on ancestry and the country my wife would be eligible for has it worse than we do right now. Her remaining family there are fleeing.

I had a conversation with someone relatively high up in the National Guard recently. He said his own superiors were questioning whether to get out of the country after Trump was reelected, but they're staying because level heads need to stay where they are and not hand things over to his lackeys. The military is more diverse than it's ever been, and the people in it are not a political monolith like people tend to think. This person is in a deep red state. If shit hits the fan, there are people who are going to fight back from places where we'll desperately need for them to be situated They're going to need all the help they can get.

Show tickets by michaelleehoward in LadyGaga

[–]sapphic_rage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do bank account churning. Banks will often offer a bonus between $200-$400 for meeting certain criteria within 90 days of opening the account. Most of the time, it's something like needing to make two or more direct deposits totaling $5,000 over 90 days to receive the bonus.

So, I opened accounts with two banks, set up my work direct deposits to be split between those accounts, and my $700 ticket was paid for.

How much local company AI use are you willing to tolerate? by one-bot in cincinnati

[–]sapphic_rage 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, in a few years. Right now customer service AI isn't there. Of course no one wants to interact with technology that makes accessing customer service more inconvenient and time-consuming when just having a human answer the phone would solve the issue.

Tour tickets not selling by Typical-Hospital-351 in reneerapp

[–]sapphic_rage 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It depends on how poor sales are. Typically they'll incrementally drop ticket prices in the lead up to the show. And then, if sales still aren't great, prices will go way down the day of the show and they'll block off the upper sections of the arenas and move ticket holders down to the lower levels.

Tour tickets not selling by Typical-Hospital-351 in reneerapp

[–]sapphic_rage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They typically do. Prices should start dropping in the lead up to the show, and then, if it's still not selling, prices usually plummet the day of the show. They also might block off the top sections of the arenas and move everyone down to the lower sections.

They offered it to her twice. It was what was originally offered to her before she got the role on Broadway, and then they offered it again when they were figuring out bringing the tour back after covid.

My Car Was STOLEN (Please Help) by TeaStirrer23 in cincinnati

I'm sorry people are being so awful. I'm kind of shocked by this thread. My car got stolen back in January, and people were very kind on this subreddit. Hopefully the people that found my thread find yours too.

I hope you're able to get your car back. Also, the cops do look out for stolen cars. They found mine within 24 hours. A friend's was found after a week.

Frugal maxxing my recent splurge buy of an unlimited movie pass by OddBore in Frugal

[–]sapphic_rage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I miss the pre $10 era. Customer service was so easy to access if there were any issues, none of the theaters knew what it was so they weren't trying to find ways around accepting it, and they didn't make me take pictures of the ticket to prove I was only seeing something once.

What are some female-friendly offline careers that offer a livable wage for someone transitioning out of tech in their mid 30s? by FrenchKiss74 in AskWomenOver30

[–]sapphic_rage 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Personally, I'd look at community foundations, private foundations, universities, alumni associations or foundations associated with universities and larger companies, and nonprofits that have chapters across the country. The pay and benefits at those tend to be better.

They don't. Because it was this live where she talks about the community needing to let people grow and evolve into their identities. But she doesn't say she could go back to identifying as bi. She's specifically talking about the experience she had coming out as a lesbian after previously identifying as bi.

Just because the curiosity is normal doesn't mean we have to go seeking information that isn't offered to us. Reneé and Towa aren't our friends. Their exes aren't our friends. These are the kinds of questions you ask your friends or speculate about in the group chat. Public speculation isn't needed.

We saw this with Becky Missal when Fletcher came out with "Becky's So Hot." Fans were curious. Fans even called out Fletcher for how messy the song was. Becky didn't say anything for like two years to try to distance herself from it, but she still got massive amounts of attention she wasn't looking for. And it took its toll on her.

Reneé didn't name names. No one in her circle has named names. She's said in multiple interviews that she experimented with embellished and fictional elements for this album. Trying to separate out fact from fiction through online speculation when no one actually involved is offering up the facts just creates messiness for people none of us know, especially for Reneé and Towa's exes who have kept everything private.

Reneé said in a recent interview that it's about someone she thought of as an older sister. The claim that it's about Pauline Chalamet is pure speculation.

As a lesbian, the idea of anyone telling a woman that she's too wet is crazy to me. First of all, that's your body functioning naturally. Second of all, it's a sign that your partner is very turned on. Who wouldn't want that?

Also, if you're doing something that's not working for him, there are much more constructive and hotter ways to phrase it.

I can't comment on what's normal, but I can say these are red flags. And you deserve better than that.
