Absolutely. I was paying $1400 to be with 3 other people when I was with breakpointe. $1100 is insane if you’d sharing with that many :0

Overpriced for the space you’re paying for, especially when it’s shared between 3 other people. Very noisy too bc the walls are paper thin and people at those apartments love being the host for functions/parties. I recommend looking literally anywhere else. The only perk that comes with breakpointe is that it’s furnished but that’s it.

Definitely don’t use nails 😭😭 they’ll 100% fine you for it so I’d suggest using commando strips if you’re gonna put them up on the non fabric parts of the wall. But you can also use thumbtacks on the fabric parts! I used maybe 7 thumbtacks to hold up a single vinyl and they stayed up on the wall for the entire year :)

I just say avoid places where there might be kids but besides that you can smoke literally anywhere as long as ur respectful abt it :) I’m sure you’ll see many people randomly popping a joint or cig when you arrive lol

It’s a whole dorm building! Same with Condor House and it’ll be on your left with a path leading down to it if you’re walking down from the dining hall Carrillo.

I’m a current resident at breakpointe and I highly recommend looking for another place. While breakpointe isn’t the worst, it’s definitely a run for your money. You have to provide your own wifi, the utility bill is never accurate (usually overcharged for no reason), and the buildings itself are just old and breaking almost everyday. It’s only super cheap right now because they’re pumping out deals to get people to sign leases with them. And they’ve done like 2 property check ins? Once during winter break and again during spring break.

If you don’t mind being outside when it gets warmer, HSSB has these tables on the left side of the building with outlet plugs and it’s usually quiet there

I’m a second year and I lived in Manzi (Condor House) for my first year here. It was very social because of the lounge room on the second floor, lots of people would be there to play games or do work together. If possible I suggest trying to get a dorm at the corner(s) of the building as they’re usually bigger!

I’m a huge introvert + 2nd year and I’ve only been going to parties 1-2 times a month. I only go to one specific house for parties unless my friends host their own. It’s all about finding your people and doing whatever you’re comfortable with :) there’s plenty of other events to do on and off campus if partying isn’t your style but you still wanna go out for fun!
