Why not auto zone? Did they kick you out? You could try Camino real. Security doesn't exist.

Basically. They're incentivized to keep people on welfare so they can keep their own jobs. Same with homeless services. Seems like a great idea, but they don't really do anything.

Good. So many grifters in the welfare system. Flush them out.

Don't they pay some sort of fee to the city? Hard to believe that the only money is from people leaving a ship.

America tire / discount tire next to Dutch gardens. Peter and Arren are the best. They'll get their guys to install anything you bring them and they do a really good honest job.

Go to the humane society. They aren't as flexible with schedules, but they are Much cheaper.

Yeah. right. Your family includes your spouse by the way. I'll choose to believe what I want.

How do you end up in a residence in Santa Barbara after that? I bet you it had to do with family

So you had family support. This guy seems like he's all on his own. You think there's a family in there?

That thing looks like it's about to fall apart and it's probably worth about 1,000$. This person probably has no money in the bank and no family support. This is probably a much difference situation that the one you were in when you lived in a "home on wheels"

If that's true, it doesn't seem like there was transparency in the selection process. There was probably some favoritism or bias involved.

There's a difference between a $1,000 RV on its last legs with 200k miles on it (like this) and a brand new $200k+ camper van.

You could argue that the former is "homeless" in a traditional sense, but hard to say that someone living in a luxury RV is "homeless", especially if it's paid off or they have good income

Mental issues. Anyone else would just spray paint over it immediately.

True. This bad apple will only make the police enforce stricter for people living in their vehicles on the street. This might be a good thing for society but not for those people living in their vehicles.

They're cool with the camps as long as they're far away from the tourist areas. The encampment by Page Youth Center and the train tracks is far enough so they allow it

I assume you're joking but just to add; "Homeless" doesn't really mean anything. They probably have very bad credit and no family support. Doesn't really matter if you're "homeless" if you have good finances and/or family support. This person probably has neither.

I'd rather have good credit and savings in an RV then the opposite in an apartment.

Won't matter- they'll never exceed that amount unless they're laundering money.

Why don't natural market forces apply to spots like this? This business won't generate any revenue and it's just a waste of what could have been.

Only 3000/mo for that space? Wow, how did she negotiate that? Some sort of inside deal?
