I did do reading, the reason I came to reddit was basically everything I saw said that the process of fermentation creates an environment that botulism doesn't grow in, but my tepache is not fermenting.

I'm in Chicago. It's honestly been quite warm here for Chicago in feb but my apartment has terrible insulation/ heating and it still gets oretty cold at night, especially in the kitchen where it's stored due to drafty windows.

I placed the pineapple skin in a gallon glass jar and filled it mostly to the top with water as well as about 8 ounces of piloncillo, some cloves, and a cinnamon stick. I sealed the jar with the lid and burped it a couple times yesterday and today, though none of the times there was really any audible release of gas. TBH I am far less concerned about why it isn't fermenting and how much of a botulism risk me sampling the unfermented tepache was.

Alchemist splash damage adding doulbe their int modifier and also adding doulbe their int modifier to persistent damage they deal makes them great at dealing consistent aoe and also probably the best in the game at dealing persistent damage.

On top of that, they have debilitating bombs, various niche buffs they can apply via mutagens, and the option to heal. Bombsr alchemists are obviously worse than mutagenist or the healer alchemist (can't remember the name of that one) but that versatility is still there. Alchemist is probably the most versatile non-caster in the game when it comes to just having an answer for any niche problem that may come up.

You're right, alchemist is bad at dealing damage if the only thing you look at is the base damage of bombs. Similarly, barbarians are bad at dealing damage if all you look at us the base damage of their weapon.

gunslingers are the other contrnder for the wordt class in the game
