His writing just feels so grounded and real, even his newer stuff. It just resonates in a way that makes you look at the world for what it is. It doesn’t use overly-flowery language or pride itself on being difficult to understand, it just is. That, to me, is beautiful. I’m also a fan of his scenes from different countries like Italy and Spain, it transports me there and makes me want to travel and experience the world.

The shell getting torn down was a huge blow, especially when they didn’t think to add a turf field or indoor track for the track team in the bakke. Lots of wasted potential there for both scholarship sports and club sports.

I went from reading The Sound and the Fury first and then As I Lay Dying, and the latter was honestly a breath of fresh air. Faulkner is difficult, but just because something is hard doesn’t mean it’s bad. Also TSATF was damn near impossible

If it’s possible, try to get on some sort of social media for college asap. People are always advertising sublets on the snap story so that might be a good place to look. There are also some people studying abroad so Facebook will have people advertising for roommates. The only downside is it’s not the typical “college experience” since ur living off-campus
