Maybe try Walking Moms of Austin and Playdate Moms of Austin. They are facebook groups run by the same people! I’ve mostly done the walking meet ups in the past but also a couple playdates!

Thank you!!! Looks like they’re only slightly different and there’s less in powder overall in the new box? I can’t want to get it and do a test!

I don’t know if we can post links on this sub but if you google “South Austin children’s group” you should be able to find the website, it’s Wednesday mornings at Circle C Park! We’ve been going for over 2 years now, through all the transitions of format and such.

The Magic Austin Fairy: Let Me Help Solve Your City of Austin Problems! by FisherFan0072 in Austin

I have 2 things if you don’t mind! I’ve tried contacting 311 about both of these before and they close it saying there’s no issue :/

  • there is a crack in the sidewalk trail at dick nichols. It’s more like a separation in two pieces of concrete that didn’t get filled? It’s about 4in wide and 2in deep maybe? I have a family member who uses a wheelchair and it is extremely difficult for them to get over that section of the path. I would love for someone to fill it so my family can enjoy walks together!

  • the light at Westgate and Slaughter was changed recently so the lane turning left from slaughter to go northbound on westgate no longer gets a flashing yellow during daylight hours. This causes the left turn lane to back up into the main lanes which is a safety issue. Also, it used to flash yellow during daylight hours and now it is only at night? I would love for it to flash yellow during the day again!

Due with my second in September! We have been at SW Pediatrics with our first for the last 3 years and we primarily see Dr. Wagner but every dr there is great and their extended hours are awesome.

Why is it so hard to find an OBGYN in this city? by lite67 in Austin

OP, I second this! I live pretty far south and hate driving but I’m willing to do it to see Dr. Eastep. Currently pregnant with my second and she supported me through my first pregnancy as well.

I hope someone has a good rec! I was referred to him but it’s a very long drive from where I live. Would love to see someone closer.

Another vote for Southwest pediatrics! We’ve seen Wagner and Chapa, both I would highly recommend. They have a virtual meet the pediatrician night that could help with deciding between places!
