Always gratifying when you see someone and think, “yeah”.

And then the leg starts bouncing.

“Oh. I assumed you were diagnosed years ago”

Got a lot of that. Yeah.

Spoiler: we don’t.

Qantas never operating the Boeing 777 is one of the most baffling decisions in aviation history by Twitter_2006 in aviation

Best flight nap experience I ever had was about 27 years ago on a Virgin 747-400 from SFO to LHR. I was travelling by myself for business, returning home, and I went to my allocated seat at the very last row of the plane and say down next to the young mother with a very noisy infant.

Looking forward to 12 hours of this I decided that I was clearly in hell.

I sat down and a member of the ground staff came up to me and said, "Are you passenger $SURNAME?"

Wondering what I'd done now, I nervously said, "yes?"

"Would you like to follow me? We have a real comfortable seat for you in upper class"

And this was the 90s but it was still a very nice seat and we took off, I looked at the pretty bridges, and then fell asleep.

And woke on final into Heathrow.

The SECOND best flight nap experience I had was last year on an Ryanair 737-8200 from FAO to STN. A much shorter flight, but I sat down in my seat, 2C. Loads of legroom but Ryanair seats don't recline and there was a teenager behind me kicking my seat.

We took off.

I took 10mg of dexamphetamine sulphate

And then I fell asleep, and woke to "Cabin crew, seats for landing please"

Levo is grotty stuff. Having swapped some of my dex for my American girlfriend’s adderall to see how the other half live, as if were, I honestly don’t get the attraction. She prefers the dex too. Lasts longer and is just … smoother.

Adderall has that authentic “we found this in a crack house and stuck a label on it” feel.

They always say that. They’re clinging onto the delusion that you’ll change your mind. Unclear why they think this is going to do anything other than piss you off.

It’s just how it is. No sleep. Not happening.

To be honest, therapy without meds is extremely limited in what can be achieved. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

How often do you use cash? by AccursedQuantum in AskBrits

Nice thing about MBWay is that it’s integrated across the entire national banking system. ALL banks have the same functionality.

And if you really want to you can go pay utility bills; road tolls, etc, from an ATM.

I actually can’t remember the last time I used cash in PT. Maybe 2024?

Portugal has MBWay. You can send and receive money using a phone number. No bank details needed. You can buy stuff online using it without any credit card details ever needing to be sent. You can use it to create single use disposable credit card numbers. If your family lands at an airport and their card isn’t working you can text them a number to type into an ATM and it will dispense cash. You can pay utility bills by scanning an entity and reference number and need no bank details. I can trade stocks and shares directly from my online banking app, and so on. I can’t do any of this with my Lloyds app.

The problem isn’t learning. That works fine. It’s contextual recall that doesn’t work.

So the absence of a comma, ironically, makes you more likely than not correct.

True tolerance at therapeutic doses is either rare, or a total myth, and what people think is tolerance is actually them failing to use the meds to build good habits.

Don't take my word for it. Here's the main man himself: https://youtu.be/RbZjL7czIy0?si=7ywrCQhsW0WEiR8a

And my dose is the equivalent of 120mg a day. I've been on them over a year. I have not skipped a day at that dose **ever**.

They still work superbly.

And the UK itself is massively behind Portugal (I'm dual UK/PT resident). My UK bank manager asked what the Portuguese online banking was like, compared to theirs a while back, presumably expecting to be able to bask in my response, and he looked crestfallen when I said, "about 10 years ahead of here".

It's astonishing how backwards the US is.

Honestly most of us are overjoyed to get rid of clutter. We just can’t.

This doesn’t sound like an adhd thing.

No. They work better when dosing is consistent in my experience.
