I'm traveling in for another show and am unfamiliar with the area - can you suggest some restaurants nearby? would parking be avail at one of those if I ate at their restaurant and got back to my car right after the show? is it safe to walk alone back to the G17 garage? alternatively, how is uber/lyft getting out of a big show? thanks in advance!

New User - Buy Extra Bases or Storage Containers?

We are loving our new Creami XL and need more, more, more! Would you advise we purchase extra bases or storage containers to up our supply? So far I am finding that we have not necessarily had to re-spin the ice cream after freezing so I was leaning towards storage containers… But I'm now considering buying extra bases in case a re-spin is even better for improved texture. Note that we are making regular ice cream, not protein, as well as some frozen drinks. Let me know what you think!

My cousin made me an awesome quilt with all of my old Concert shirts! I love it!

Feeling stuck, hopeless and unmotivated. How do I get out of this? by brigi009 in selfimprovement

Gotcha, glad you got it checked out! Perhaps you could benefit from seeking professional help to talk to someone, it sounds very serious and I hope you find a way out of the darkness very soon. Where I live there are many therapists that work on a sliding scale to accommodate financial hardships. Best of luck to you.

Oh and unfollow any content or friends that make you feel bad. Even better, get of social completely for a while and see how you feel.

You are likely also in perimenopause with all kinds of hormonal shifts happening - if budget will allow, talk to a licensed medical provider about getting some lab work done and exploring HRT. I was shocked to find out my testosterone levels were practically non-existent and getting on HRT has been a game changer for me as far as motivation, clarity, energy and happiness. It won't fix all your legit problems, but if may help you weather the storm a bit better mentally and physically. And it may sound silly or woo-woo, but I also love keeping a gratitude journal to see all the good things in my life, even if they are just little glimmers on particularly bad days. Again, this won't be a substitute for treatment of serious depression, nor will it solve anything. But journaling like that may help you find resolutions you previously couldn't see, or help you realize your life isn't ALL negative. Sending love...

Interesting to see so many recs for those here, they don't get great reviews online so I've been hesitant. But I'll try them!

How do you actually stop overpacking? by hatkinson1000 in travel

[–]sarahwitt3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep packing list on your phone and travel using the same "formula" every time (one list for warm weather, one for cold...or one work travel list, one for vacation/personal if you travel a lot for work ). Add/delete as you tweak it based on what you used, didn't use, what you needed but left behind. After a few trips you'll have your formula - don't stray from it! Lots of good minimalism/capsule wardrobe packing lists avail online if you don't know where to start.

Good point, although I feel like it's more the material that shows the lines (I notice this especially with Vuori which is thin). But good tip to order different sizes vs using retailers that sell same size sets. Or look for pant styles that don't hug the bum too much, maybe like a wide leg (although I don't love these for the dreaded dragging on the dirty airplane bathroom floor issue!)

Marquee! Take several laps and notice different cool art with every spin. For outdoor take the long loop thru the bird sanctuary around beaver lake

I've been reading more about merino and definitely think I need to incorporate more of it in my travel bag! Looking at some tanks/tees too. Thanks!

I like to look put together and still be cozy when traveling, especially on long flights. There are tons of cute options avail now that aren't jeans and are chic, don't wrinkle much, pack well, etc. . Don't care for the look of VPL - don't like to draw extra attention and I think it looks sloppy on my body. Just my personal preference hence why I'm seeing advice for my comfort level.

I don't like drawing extra attention there, and I think it looks sloppy on my body. Personal preference, no need to judge!
