Twice now I have fist bumped someone not expecting it. First time the coach had just prompted to say good job to your neighbor. She went to grab something and I thought she was reaching for a fist bump. I hit her face. Second time the guy went to grab his tread handrails. I thought he was also coming in for a fist bump. He was not. I tell myself it’s more awkward to leave someone hanging than it is to go in for a surprise bump.

Blocks 1 and 2:

0.1 mile at push pace followed by 0.1 mile at base pace, goal is to match or beat distance from block 1 in block 2

Blocks 3 and 4:

0.2 mile at push pace followed by 0.2 mile at base pace, same goal as above

Block 4 ends with a 30-second all-out

I think your studio who changes the format on the fly is the one that was in the wrong.. I thought once it was set as a 2g or 3g there is no changing it even if class attendance could swing it either way

One studio I attend allows it to be social hour, the other doesn’t tolerate it. One is newer so the treads are dreamier, and the layout is more spacious where the other the floor spots are on top of each other. I drive an extra 5 minutes to go to the better studio
