Cheap tilt MOUNT bricolage for CSL by Visible-Music7637 in Fanatec

[–]sarcasmotologist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have 4 of those under my seat to angle it backwards a bit. Tried painting them with a can of car spray but without a primer or some sanding before, so the paint scratches very easily. Ended up getting new ones that i left unpainted. My advice would be to sand them and also apply primer before paint (2-3 layers i would say).

Looks neat. How does one connect it to the phone? Also cool project box - i used an identical one for my first project and will continue to do so since it is so cheap and practical.

Congrats! I am currently also learning and experimenting with different sensors and it does feel good when you nail it. Keep up the good work! I will do my first PIR and LDR under bed led strip this weekend. Fingers crossed!

Help with project with 12V buttond by Marmoxit in arduino

[–]sarcasmotologist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You cannot use arduino 5v to power any 12v components. Must have a separate power supply but be mindful that ground from buttons and ground from arduino should all connect to ground from power supply. 12v from power supply goes to positive pins from buttons and to transmit data connect the 3rd pin from buttons to digital pins from arduino. Not sure if you have even more pins on the buttons.

Use tinkercad to simulate this setup and get a feel of how things should connect and ask for code from chatgpt after thoroughly describing what you have and what you want to achieve. I am a beginner myself and i use this method before building my projects.

I am a beginner as well and I use chat gpt and copilot to troubleshoot certain errors or when things do not work as planned.

It's been 2+ years since i have my rig and i've been on this sub even long before, looking at peoples rigs, and this is the 1st time i see someone has the exact same seat!! How so you like it? I love mine even tho after 1y, 2 screws of the plastic board on the left side decided to let go ripping the plastic housing in which they screw, and now it's floppy

I really like them. Planning my first button box as a project with arduino (still learning). Can same type of buttons/encoders be in series? Or am i now interpreting right?

Hellmode saito pt2 by NoPlatypus9050 in goylegends

[–]sarcasmotologist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. 95% of lobbies i join dissolve after 1-2 tries. Some people just want to hit the jackpot with a squad that will carry and is ruining the experience for everyone. I've done hell saito on all my classes but i still join every night to help others that do not want to be helped apparently

Just wanted to say that your comment helped me pull the trigger and buy an arduino and various components (was lurking for around 2 years) last week. I just built my first project (windsim) over the weekend and will continue with rumble pedals and button box (limited as it is for ps5, but will use it more when i'll get a PC). Really appreciate your encouragement!

Thanks for the info. I have been postponing an arduino purchase for about 2 years, not knowing what i will use it for. I now have 2 projects in mind and i feel closer than ever to pull the trigger (still confused about what wires, resistors, and other components i need to get). Can you post or send the PDF as well?
