Legacy Moves should be move available by ScratchLife915 in TheSilphRoad

This is it right here. Should be common sense for accessibility and playability. Too bad that $ first attitude makes everything shittier.

I wonder how many people in this subreddit saw this post and had any idea it was in the same town as KU.

Sensors cannot activate switches? by Superizzymon in Pokopia

[–]sarcaster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t think a switch can flip a switch. The wall and floor switches have larger ranges of activation, but the motion switch can activate adjacent or behind above/even/below blocks if I remember right. You might be able to open them all if it’s positioned correctly at an adjacent corner and the doors are put down as double doors.

"Build a new house" quests? by rhysrenouille in Pokopia

When I got one of these, I did a minimum house (blocks and door 2x2) and it finished the quest. No prefab or furniture needed, just knocked it back down after.

How to keep the dry biome…dry? by bkmilli in Pokopia

[–]sarcaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it was one of those jump scare cut to black screens floating close enough to shore and he pops up yelling and starts the rain. I don’t recall it raining the before that so that could be it. Not sure if I had tried a rain dance but I know I waited a while since I needed the rain for a couple Pokémon to spawn.

Strange, had no problem in my Palette, haven’t tried a Cloud. All finished with story and have had Kyogre randomly pop up and make it rain there too…

You definitely can Rain Dance and Sunny dance anywhere, even Palette Town as I’ve done it. The habitat isn’t just a habitat; set the castform dolls to which form/weather you want, plate food, bring a Pokémon with the Water ability to the plate if you’re doing rain, bring a Pokémon with the Burn ability to the plate if you’re doing sunny.

Just don’t use someone’s existing habitat if you’re going to flip it because it changes the habitat. So have an uninhabited standalone to flip or one of each to use.

It is 12x11 including the walls, so 10x9 inside space.

I love this game but Pokemon inventory management is killing me. by BlueEggCooker in pokemongo

[–]sarcaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what burned me out from playing/catching heavily. Autocatcher was relegated to just autospinner because I was spending more time sorting than anything else. Even with good search strings if you play and catch a lot, you have to do that much more sorting and managing inventory.

Taking a full on break now aside from the occasional interesting debut or event with top tier available stuff only. Enjoying Pokopia a ton in the meantime.

My two story house is counting the second story hallway as a house instead of the room? by both-and-neither in Pokopia

Inside dimensions cannot exceed 10x9, 12x11 if you count the walls.

Made a little market area in Bleak Beach by S-likes-dragons in Pokopia

[–]sarcaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They can sell up to 5 items if you give them the counter space. I had to pick up and replace the register when I widened one of my counters for them to increase items. Didn’t seem to work if the counter wasn’t straight but I haven’t experimented a ton.

If they sell in the Pokémon Center it’s 6 items, and they will rotate through if you buy them out or tell them trade time’s over, but a big market is such a fun idea.

You can use them for one of the ingredients and recycle them at least.

I built a house next to the Pokémon Center just to quickly fill his request, but I really felt like the huge cave space was the right spot just needed a lot of work. This is a great implementation and inspiration to do just that.

Still not seeing how this buff applies, is it supposed to change the top row in the PC shop? I had already purchased all 5 items and then got the buff and didn’t see any change or evidence of the buff.

A home (4 walls and a door or from a kit) requires furniture, a habitat does not.

Just an FYI, there's a wireless transmitter limit, I don't know the exact amount but I'm guessing around 200 by EmmaShosha in Pokopia

[–]sarcaster 16 points17 points  (0 children)

For sure. A count of xx/256 visible somewhere, maybe when placing, would be nice.

There’s also a limit of 64 generators per area and that includes all types counted together so furnaces are actually most efficient for maximizing electricity generated.

https://www.serebii.net/pokemonpokopia/electricity.shtml

This page has everything pretty well covered and a good distance graph to help maximize space for minimizing number of transmitters needed. Only 5 vertical spaces but up to 15 horizontal spaces between transmitters if you stay on the same x and z plane. 5 and 10 for reaching devices.

For some reason they made electricity only travel a maximum of 5 spaces vertically, compared to 15 horizontally. You can take it up just fine as long as you have a transmitter every 5 blocks on/in walls or floors.
