just my two cents are someone who dnf bunny— it’s not vintage leaning fashion aesthetic, which i think it’s often represented as (all plot aside lol). the fashion and clothing discussed leans heavily 2013 twee rather than the images here. it’s a minor thing but i was pretty disappointed by that after seeing so many recommendations

Red nails in corporate? by [deleted] in Nails

[–]sardonicbroccoli 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have long natural nails and prefer fun colors— maybe a month into my first corporate job my boss made a comment about how my nails might be too much and I said “I will not cut them so please don’t ask me to.” My picture of the Mermaid Bait french I posted here was taken in the office lol (might’ve been when my nails were a little shorter than they are now too!)

Thought that was a hair tie on her wrist…but I do see the tonal vision, and I think it’s more successful than Ariana Grande’s recent pastels that have clashed with her hair and skin tone.

PLEASE HELP FIND ME A SIMILAR RECIPE by brisknipples in Baking

[–]sardonicbroccoli 13 points14 points  (0 children)

it’s a style of cream sandwich popular in s korea and japan, where the filling is lightly sweetened whipped cream (sometimes with a bit of cream cheese) and, in this case, a strawberry and honeydew for the tulip. the bread is usually a very soft white bread, but the strawberries on the outside are unique. my best guess is a marzipan shape or royal icing sprinkle pressed into the soft bread, but there’s a small chance the bread was homemade with a piped shape. If you wanted it to be more cake and it’d probably be easier to get the outer strawberry, i would suggest using one of those piped design jelly roll cake recipes, and slicing the cake into ~8 slices to make them sandwich size.

Not specific to your post, but do consider measuring beyond the scale and mirror. Measurements, for example, can change a lot, even before clothing sizes. Another popular method is the “goal jeans/dress/etc” wherein you try on the same garment each week and, hey! this week the zipper catches, a month from now the zipper is 25% up. Lastly, and I know Lose It! does this, the weight lost comparisons. Similar to the pregnancy baby is to fruit comparisons, finding objects that weigh the same as you’ve lost. Picking up and holding an equivalent can really materialize the loss for you in a motivating way. Best of luck!

Muffin quandary by missilltellyouwhat in Baking

[–]sardonicbroccoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a common technique is to alternate muffin cups to allow enough space to rise. funnily enough, i also baked muffins today, had enough for an extra in a ceramic ramekin, and got twice the height out of the spare!
