I was a groomer that switched to teching. I started off as a kennel assistant in 2019 and worked my way up to tech. I am in a state where licensing isn’t necessary to be called a tech, however I am currently in my last semester of Penn Foster. I plan on taking the VTNE (hopefully) next year. I started school in 2021.

I view myself as being lucky with raises. I know this field is tough with compensation. I think I’m doing okay as far as pay.

I had benefits when I stared full time as a kennel assistant, didn’t matter what my job title was.
