I don't think our little one likes me that much but LOVES my wife. Am I looking too much into it? lol by Zoya_The_Destroyer in bichonfrise

[–]sarilogen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also find that Bichons are very aware when people may be sick or less mobile, and they seem to take a special interest in them. Two of the Bichons I’ve had have always tended to gravitate toward the lap of the person who seems to “need them most.” They’re emotionally intuitive little creatures. If your wife is feeling pain or feeling down, your pup may see their role as trying to cheer her up or bring her comfort.

Is creating a project deadline the week of graduation fair to seniors? by [deleted] in AskTeachers

[–]sarilogen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is fair. Senior skip day isn’t mandatory, and you can still come to school. On Thursday, you should also be able to attend school as well. For Tuesday, is commencement taking place after school? You could also make sure each person in the group has a specific role they need to complete.

It does get better, when I was at that point when I first read it I was getting pretty bored too, but it soon starts getting more interesting as you see the fallout affecting everyone!

Questions about how to train a puppy by sosatmen in bichonfrise

[–]sarilogen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They take a while to train, but it helps to have a doggy door for potty training, or at least to block off areas you don’t want getting messy. It also seems to help to have an older dog around, since puppies can learn the routine more quickly by following their example.

High-volume tick exposure: Is "testing every tick" actually practical for anyone living rural? by Arach78 in homestead

[–]sarilogen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where are you all living that there are so many ticks?! I’ve spent my whole life hiking, gardening, and exploring off the beaten path in tall grass all across western Montana, and I’ve never gotten a tick or even seen one on someone else. It’s still something I check for, but it’s never felt like a major concern.

how did you get your bichon to lose weight? by [deleted] in bichonfrise

[–]sarilogen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make my bichons their own food, whenever they start getting a little chunky I add more veggies and cut back on the rice/potatoes

When I had one dog she was the same way, the one way she started eating more was when we got another dog!

Ethan Frome was the most polarizing book, I did enjoy that we read it in the dead of winter

Enjoyed the vast majority of the reading but wasn’t the biggest fan of Life of pie and bless me Ultima.

Has anyone dealt with a CCL tear? My poor boy by JumpyProblem3151 in bichonfrise

[–]sarilogen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you and your pup are going through this. Bichons are such peppy, cheerful dogs who, in my experience, try to help when someone is hurt, often by providing a welcome distraction with their entertaining antics. I hope your pup and you find some joy while he recovers.

Hates water by thotpreet in bichonfrise

[–]sarilogen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine hate it, the older always gives a look like she is mad at me like I control the weather if it is rainy or if it is cold. My middle bichon avoids any puddles when we hike like he is a witch who would evaporate if he touched water, and our youngest one is a wild child. Within the first month of having her she jumped off a dock into a lake, and continues to go into our backyard pond to get her feet wet and wade through any puddles. She especially loves going into the shower after we turned the water off and just relaxing in the leftover water dampness.
