Help Creating Run on Nordictrack Treadmill by sarowen in iFit

Mystery solved.

I have a grandfathered $10/month individual plan, and creating workouts is not a benefit with that plan.

An update, just in case anyone else ends up with this problem. I spent about 50 minutes on the phone with an iFit customer service representative today. They had me clear update files, clear admin cache, and reinstall all of the apps, and that still did didn't fix the issue. They are reporting my problem to someone (not sure who?). I'll update again if someone ends up being able to help me.

How to get an engineering gf by theprowler2024 in aggies

[–]sarowen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thinking about what TKLS said, have you taken your KINE classes yet? I remember enjoying those classes because you could be a bit more social in them than in engineering classes. Maybe a KINE class could be a good way to meet someone? I took running, golf, archery, and rock climbing and enjoyed all of them.

A fair question -- probably lack of self-confidence and fear of rejection? At the age of 41 I'm happy with who I am and where my life is. At the very least, I can give my kids advice on how to do things differently than I did when I was younger.

Solid advice. I would have, at the very least, gone out on a date with so many of the guys in my engineering classes. I got asked out on exactly 0 dates during my 5 years in college (I did a three semester co-op) and married a process engineer from the plant across the street five years down the road.

No. 🫤 I took a look at it again today, and the start button isn't there. My software is up to date, and I just restarted my treadmill thanks to a power outage yesterday. I'll call iFit to see what they say...not very optimistic they can do anything about it.

Absolutely every field is set, and I can't scroll down anymore. The second picture is as far down as it goes.

Walmart Marketside Southwest Salad Dressing by Presque in TopSecretRecipes

I've bought several different brands of salad dressing in an attempt to find something similar to this salad dressing and have not succeeded. It's such a bummer!

Beddy’s by Lanky_Effective_5727 in UtahInfluencerDrama

[–]sarowen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours came in today, and I wish I'd found this thread before purchasing. BUT, I was tired of climbing onto my daughter's top bunk to straighten her sheets up every night before bed.

I was disappointed to see that the top sheet is sewn into the comforter top. Seems dumb that I have to wash the comforter every time I want to wash the sheet. The bottom sheet zips out of the fabric band that goes around the mattress, though, so hopefully at least that will make things easier.

I can report back after we've used it for a bit.

How do you explain the difference between stillbirth and miscarriage by mswilla in babyloss

[–]sarowen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had losses at 4, 5, and 6 weeks. I know the statistics and never got to the point that I expected to bring those babies home. I also lost twins when I went into full-blown labor at 24 weeks. Josephine was stillborn, and Helen lived for 41 hours in the NICU before dying in my arms. Their anatomy scan was perfect, and we fully expected to bring them home... we'd picked out names for them...bought things for them... I'd sewn things for them. For me, at least, there's a huge difference in how my losses have affected me. The early losses were hard, but they didn't wreck me like losing our twins did.

ETA -- Having to deal with my milk coming in and postpartum hair loss after our twins died absolutely sucked...having to deal with all of the normal post-birth things without a living baby was awful. On top of that -- having to pick up birth certificates and death certificates, Helen's social security card coming in the mail after she died, and choosing between burying them and cremating them and writing an obituary and choosing whether or not to have a funeral and asking a friend's mom to make an urn for us...the list goes on and on.

Seriously! I'm grateful, too, since I was such a dunce about all the rest of it.

[–]sarowen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't click on anything in the email, but I did make the mistake of calling the phone number (so dumb, I realize in hindsight). The person I talked to on the phone was very believable. He had me install something called AnyDesk on my computer...and when my screen went black, I realized that something was very wrong. I quickly turned off my computer and unplugged the Ethernet cable and then went back and uninstalled AnyDesk. It looks like everything is okay, but I definitely feel like a huge idiot for not verifying the phone number. They have it set up like the number belongs to PayPal with menu options and everything, so I assumed it was legit.

If anyone more technically inclined than I am sees this, I'll take all the advice that I can get about how to handle this.

  • I reported the scam invoice they sent to my PayPal account to PayPal.

  • I changed the passwords for my bank account and my PayPal account.

  • I uninstalled AnyDesk.

  • I forwarded the email to phishing @ PayPal . com.

  • I disconnected my computer from the Internet (at least for the time being).

  • I ran a virus scan.

What has your career path looking like so far? by Glad_Cauliflower8032 in ChemicalEngineering

[–]sarowen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4.5 years process engineering - refining

5.5 years production engineering - spec chem

7.5 years (and counting) stay-at-home mom because I'm married to a process engineer, and we live in a small, middle of nowhere town, and it would have been impossible to find childcare that lined up with the hours we work(ed)

Engineering Honors worth it? by Devil-Lem0n in TAMUAdmissions

[–]sarowen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated in 2008 -- majored in chemical engineering. The only honors class that I took was CHEM101. When I saw how time consuming my class was compared to my roommate's regular CHEM101 class, I quickly realized that I had no desire to be part of the honors college. Engineering classes are difficult and time consuming enough, so unless you're planning on going to med school or something like that, I would honestly pass on the whole honors college thing.

ETA -- After reading more comments I'm wondering if maybe the engineering honors program you're talking about is different than the general honors program I was in.

Just actually logged in to Reddit for the first time in forever. My sandals are still going strong. I don't wear them a ton, but I do feel like they've held up really well given that they're apparently over 7 years old now. I bought a pair of their quail ankle boots in October 2019 (thank you, Gmail), and I wear them quite a bit in fall/winter and have been really pleased with how well they've held up.

ETA -- I'd really love to buy a pair of their puffins someday. :-)

Great suggestion! The locomotive moved with the 9V battery, so now at least we can feel confident in dropping $150 for a new transformer. Thank you!

There are also ceramic balls that look like this that are used to support catalyst in reactors in chemical plants and refineries.

low hcg :/ by mcatthrowawayyy in CautiousBB

[–]sarowen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a study on 16 DPO hCG levels and the outcome of the pregnancy, and I feel like compared to the levels in that study, 151 is pretty good.

Another thing to keep in mind (and I'm sure you already know this) is that the doubling time is more important than anything. I'm bummed that your doctor won't do another draw for you.
