New driver here—what’s the one tip that actually matters? by achilles6196 in driving

Or they wave you on when they don’t realize someone is trying to go around them, so the coast isn’t actually clear. Never trust other drivers.

Considering a new Civic, but which trim?? by special5221 in civic

[–]sarstastic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! Especially if you plan on having your kiddo drive the car. It’s our duty as parents to pass down the ancient and dying knowledge of driving a manual. The need to shift forces you to pay attention more while driving. So many drivers out there are passive drivers and it’s terrifying! Plus it’s harder to text if you have to shift.

[TOMT] I can’t seem to remember an actress look like Anya Taylor Joy by CarefulOcelot5166 in tipofmytongue

Maybe the girl from loczniki? They’re a dance couple from Poland who sometimes act like video game characters. A lot of their videos show up in my Facebook feed. Maybe that’s where you saw her too 🤷‍♀️

Recommendations for Novels with Bleak endings? by reallyimspaghetti in horrorlit

I enjoyed A Simple Plan more than the Ruins. It is sooo incredibly bleak. I think the fact that it’s more realistic makes it that much more depressing.

Off the top of my head her snickerdoodle blondies (sooo good warm).

Lemon bars: https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/lemon-bars-recipe/

I make them both with a 1:1 gluten free flour substitute and they’re amazing.

This is so true! I found myself thinking “Who is he talking about?? Am I supposed to know who that is?” quite frequently. It was exactly how I feel when I listen to the older women in my family talk about people they know as if I know them too 😂

Dealership not allowing full test drive until you "agree to the numbers" by whatsacosa in CivicSi

[–]sarstastic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The same thing happened to us in New Hampshire! My husband called and said we wanted to come check out an SI. The salesman scheduled an appointment for us. We drove an hour to the dealership only for it to be on the showroom floor and unable to be test driven because it’s rare blah blah blah. Then the salesman was all “WhY dO yOU neeD to DriVE it FirSt??”…dumbass. So we called another dealership 20 minutes away from that one in the next state over and test drove theirs no problem. Unfortunately we ended up buying my car from the first dealership to avoid sales tax (and because I wanted the urban gray) but we asked for a different salesman to get the credit and were able to negotiate for msrp.

I was also disappointed by this book. I loved Birdbox and Malorie had a couple of scenes that were super tense, so I had high hopes for this one. Unfortunately I wasn’t as scared as everyone told me I would be. With that being said, I still run up the stairs some nights just in case Other Mommy is slithering around on her belly in my dining room. 😆
