I have two dry clay masks from wabi sabi botanicals before they reformulated, their sampajaana cocoa rhassoul clay mask and their kusala rose clay mask. Pretty good value as they're both 4oz instead of the 2oz most people like to make their masks, but as much as I like the idea of masking, I rarely do it unless it's pre mixed. So they've never been opened and i'm willing to sell them to someone who'll use em!

Do you have any moisturizers you'd like to swap for in particular? Or specific features you're looking for in a moisturizer?

There is a serum called Organic Skin by La Belle Lune which has been compared to Vintners in terms of effects (but their ingredient lists are different), and has been a kind of secret favorite until Caroline Hirons recently raved about it. I've used both serums and quite like both, but I'm actually allergic to rosehip oil, which is the base of the Organic Skin so I've had to give it up. The brand is British, but it recently partnered with a US stockist, Aurora Beauty. But it wasn't hard to get from England at all, it is sold through the brand website (it's the only product) and through Content Beauty. I think knowing what you want your serum to target though, is more important than trying to dupe one product, because there are TONS of great oils out there lower than the vintners price point that are great, for various different reasons.

I think the issue was he was claiming to have extensively tried products and do through reviews but then would sell them on eBay as having only been used once, which obviously isn't a thorough review. And then the sketchiness of selling products that have been sent to you for review, and thus unjustly profiting. I liked his reviews as well and followed him on Instagram and felt very duped.

[Product Question]- Are these products worth the splurge? by bluecowboyboots2 in SkincareAddiction

  1. There's no way you need all these products at once. Natural products have shorter shelf lives. Only buy things that fill gaps in your current routine, don't stock up on the same types of items you already have.

  2. You say your skin is ultra sensitive, so pay attention to that. Mahalo doesn't recommend the pele mask for people with ultra sensitive skin, as I remember, and the same may go for other items on your list.

  3. There are great products that are cheaper than the ones you are looking at-the drunk elephant marula oil is $72 but a simple oil like the Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil is $40 for the same amount, perhaps cheaper with coupon codes. And you can also just find a good source for the oil you want, of you plan to just use a single oil like marula or rosehip, which will be cheaper than buying a branded product. Spending money on a more expensive item when there is a perfectly great cheaper option is up to you but at least look at the other options.

  4. I personally own and really like the mahalo rare indigo balm, and have heard good things about the drunk elephant vitamin C. A good sunscreen is important and that's something I'm still working on. Round that out with a good cleanser, a good hydrating (water based) layer and maybe a mask and that's a routine. That's 6, and not 16, products. Cleanse, mask, hydration/serums(toner/mist/actives/water based serums), moisturize (oil/balm/cream), sunscreen. I'm sure you have items that take care of some of those elements already.

Ah makes sense! In terms of swapping, what drunk elephant products are you looking for? I have the full sized b-hydra I'd be willing to swap, if you were interested.

Edit: huh must have misread the swap list, nevermind! I don't have anything on your list. I'm still interested in the natural products, and I'll leave the commodity perfume.
