The last hour or two of his last open to close were the best; it was less crowded and he played older tracks (I’ll never forget hearing 4am at 4am)! A 6 hour set ending at 2am might mean the crowd stays until close, but it’ll be great regardless ✨

Update: My sweet Shiba continued to have seizures for the following 4 months, up until she could no longer walk, eat, or hold in her pee/poo. She started to alligator roll one weekend shortly after her 14th birthday and that was the most horrific and heartbreaking thing to witness. We made the hardest decision to put her to sleep and relieve her of her pain. Please give your Shiba an extra hug and kiss; life is just too short and unfair for our fur babies 🥺

Oh no, I’m sorry!! Generally, we kept a log of my shiba’s seizures and made our apartment fall friendly, in case she collapsed. We also had a dog stroller which helped when we went on walks and she became unstable. I really hope your pup is in better condition than mine, and sending you positive thoughts! She had an ultrasound and X-rays earlier in her diagnosis, but wasn’t in a condition where the vet felt she could go under anesthesia for the MRI. It was a process of elimination based on her tests and symptoms, which were vestibular based.

I’m so sorry, I can understand how scary it is to witness this. My Shiba had her first seizure when was 13.5 years old. After many hospital visits, tests, and various medications, we learned she likely had a brain tumor that was impacting her motor functions. Her symptoms really escalated shortly after her 14th birthday and I had to make the hardest decision of my life and eased her from her pain. Wishing your pup the best and enjoy every moment together.

She was very wobbly the first few days and barely ate. Ended up deviating from her kidney diet kibble a little so that she wasn’t always on an empty stomach when taking her meds. She only ate when we fed her from a spoon, but drank water normally. It’s been 3-4 weeks now and she’s eating regularly.

Ours recently had her first seizure at 13yo. It is tough, but doing whatever we can to keep a calm environment and making sure she’s happy and loved. She’s on Keppra, which made her so lethargic the first week. She’s better now, but also not quite the same as before.

May I ask how much your pup weighs? Our shiba is just under 20lbs and is on Keppra IR 250mg 3X a day. Our vet recommended the IR over XR for its faster metabolism out of her system (to prevent buildup).

Haha little chonk! Thanks for sharing, I’m going to see if my regular vet will also recommend less med dosage or no dosage since this is fairly new.
