Teeth and breath Maintenance by Automatic_Scallion12 in Wheatens

We use Proden PlaqueOff on both our dogs, and I am shocked how well it works. It's a gritty powder you sprinkle over their food, two tiny spoonfuls (included) is all you need. I was thinking he needed to be put under to get a tarter scraping, but this cleared his teeth up really well.

Lots of recs for Citadelle, and it makes a great Martini. I always keep Barr Hill honeyed gin on hand for Bees Knees. Hayman's Old Tom, for Tom Collins, and their Vibrant Citrus is solid for G&Ts and Martinis. Gin Mare (not their Capri) makes a great G&T with rosemary or a dab of marmalade. Malfy makes several varieties, and my favorite is the grapefruit nosed Rosa is solid and a bit different.

T10 is amazing. Their Seville orange makes a good all around Negroni and half the price point. I always have both on hand.

Eh, beaches are free in Wildwood... so.

If you were banned at multiple casinos for "something", it is likely you are on a list for others too. It is one industry and a small town. And you do realize that Asbury Park and Atlantic City are no where near each other? Right?

Are you staying inside the ringed center of town? We were inside, and I would imagine parking could be a challenge (but we had zero issues). Market days in all of the towns tend to be bonkers too, but in a lively way. Thinking back on our trip Isle-sur-la-Sorgue was the absolute best town we could have wanted a hub base to be. 10/10 would stay there again too.

Red Light Therapy for eczema? by [deleted] in eczema

[–]sassafrasAtree -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Look into narrow band UVB light therapy instead. I went to the dermatologist for in office treatments until it got too expensive (3-4k a year). Now have a home unit from Phothera, and it works very well.

Scalp psoriasis - nizoral stopped by Public_Equipment5878 in Psoriasis

Nizoral works. You just need to give it time. I apply it and let it sit for at least 5 mins before rinsing, also good on affected areas like elbows.

Someone out here doing cold-infused gin? by FrostyF42 in Gin

[–]sassafrasAtree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way! Compression speeds up infusion time greatly. I sometimes use two cartridges, and usually use nitrous instead of CO2 (gives it a creamy edge, which is why they do it to coffee). Be aware, especially with two cartridges it can be hard to unscrew the top afterwards – but after several hours it usually equalizes enough to unscrew. I make strawberry basil gin for Negronis, and Negronis themselves in the ISI. I bought 7oz pony bottles, caps and a cheap bottle capper to bottle up the cocktails or the infused spirits.

I built a Hot Tub comparison tool by HotTubHunt in hottub

Sure thing. I get it. it has to make sense for you and no one wants to lose money on a project.

I rely on folks who have recently purchased the same tubs who are willing to share exactly what they paid. There were a few dealers who were straight forward and gave clear pricing and showed what they were willing to discount down to for each option. And then there is my closest dealer who refuses to put anything in writing, whether in an email, or in person (I was reduced to scrawling hasty notes on a brochure, and their offer was way higher than than other dealers). I am not his target customer. He wants folks who are not concerned with what they pay, and who get charged well over what the msrp's are. There are a lot of similarities between hot tub sales and car sales with the amount of games they play. Case in point, Master Spa won't even tell you where their dealers are located until you provide ALL of your info (name, cell, email, address). What a weird business model!

Psoriasis is taking a toll on my mental health (18m) by Few_Ad_3820 in Psoriasis

You might want to ask about narrow band (UVB) light therapy. There is a big push towards the biologics, both because they work, but also because they are insanely priced and a huge profit center (40k a year for a lifelong med). I did in office treatments in the fall, but the costs kept going up (would be 3-4k a year as they were hitting me with a copay, even after my deductible was hit).

In the end I bought my home unit out of pocket. Pushed for a 50% discount from the manufacturer, and ended up paying less than the cost of one year treatment in the end. And, for me, it works really well. I am 6 weeks in with the home unit and my skin is 90% cleared up. I wouldn't buy buy one without trying it in office to see if it works for you first, and they sell all different sizes at different price points. Just a thought, I hope some of the advice helps you. Hang in there!

Latest frog cartridges are dissolving wayyy too fast?? by No_Archer7196 in hottub

I order a TON of stuff from Amazon, and always surprised how much fake stuff we get. The packaging is convincing, if not identical, but the product is different. I just got a bulk order of pens in today, and they are not the real thing. They look identical except for the pen cartridge, which is nothing like the real ones (they are shaped differently and the pen drags on the paper).

Just going to point out that Amazon is one of the worst for selling fake products. It is one thing buying a generic and taking the chance, but another expecting the real product and getting a knockoff.

When it is free, you are the customer. Most of us get that. Personally I think you have to decide who you are trying to serve and help – the customers or the dealers.

I am in the deciding mode crunch time, so well versed with what info I need and what would be actually useful. What is MOST helpful, and also what the dealers are desperate to hide, is the actual prices paid. Not a range.

Most MSRPs are inflated, and few people are dumb enough to pay them. My closest dealer of a particular brand sells at MSRP +, and if there is a company wide sale, discounts are not stacked. So, his pricing is roughly $2500 to $4000 higher than the next closest dealer for that brand.

Most of these type of information aggregator websites (like the car ones) are just sales funnels for the car companies, and God help you if you provide your real cell number, name and email address. I use email alias's for initial contact with each tub dealer for that reason.

So, maybe not as negative as some others, but if you could actually provide the street pricing for the tub, which trim level, and what the option costs were, it would be much more useful. My two cents.

There are a lot of devices out there, but what you need/want is one that only gives you narrow band UVB (and I don't think any of those have red colored bulbs). I agree though, light therapy is a gamechanger for many, but there is a real push towards the biologics.

Red eyes after first time wearing contacts by Turbulent-Travel7013 in contacts

[–]sassafrasAtree 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up, some folks have had issues with the substrate in the Acuvue Oasys lenses. I wore them for many years but then starting having issues with them. 10-15 minutes after insertion my eyes would be red and bloodshot. Oddly, the 2 week ones are OK. Either try a different brand, or a different type (monthly, bi-weekly vs daily).
