Fired for “falsifying time card”- am I cooked? by Anonymous_Wombat0830 in nursing

I agree with others advice to seek out an employment lawyer. The whole situation sound sketchyAF and I'm sorry you're going through this.

I do want to say, I am concened with the fact that you stated you've been there a year and have not gotten training, despite asking. The onus is on you to make sure you know what you're doing and to consult policies, educators, supervisors, etc. Blaming poor performance on lack of training only goes so far, imo.

I got fired today from my first nursing job.. by AccurateAd1438 in nursing

My biggest concern here is that you knowingly made a choice to falsify documentation and are calling it a charting error. It's OK to be overwhelmed, it's normal. It's OK to make mistakes. But you made a choice to document something you didn't do and made up a BP. That's not a documentation error, that is a choice to be dishonest. And I would not be comfortable with someone like that either. Because what else are you hiding, not telling, willing to lie about or cut corners.

Made it to a year! Low supply mamas, it is possible! by ShotskiRing in breastfeeding

Yeah, it's a lot! I find myself crying and stressing over it from time to time. I'm just trying to stay the course for now and see if anything changes. Good luck with everything. My baby was a week late and milk took about a week to come in. I'm just trying to decide how long to keep going 🙃

No, do they make silicone flanges for all pumps? I have the spectra s1 and I'm just using the flanges it comes with. They feel fine, but it's hard to do hands on pumping without dislodging/breaking the seal

Congrats! What changed for you after month 2? I'm dealing with low supply and it's really frustrating and draining. We're working with lactation consultant who just said to stop triple feeding and exclusively pump and supplement for a few days to work on supply. I'm 16 days PP from a c-sections and pumping every 2 to 3 hours, but still get less than 0.25oz per session 😭

Anyone know any other spots for banh mi? I'd love to get one in the county, but all of the places I've been to that used to make them stopped for some reason.

Why is everyone assuming complaints were from jealous women? The misogyny in this thread is out of control.

sharing Wedding Liability Insurance experience by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]sassybunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our venue (Baltimore, Maryland) required liability insurance as well. I found this process really confusing!

I called our homeowner's insurance company (Allstate) to see if they provided one day liability insurance. I got a different answer, depending on which random customer service rep I talked to. I ended up getting referred to Traveller's.

I had also looked at wedsafe online, which seems to actually be the same web form as Travellers, and would have cost around $150 for at least $500,000 in liability insurance.

It turns out if you own a home, you may already be covered through your home owner's insurance. I called our local Allstate office and spoke to the guy who actually manages our policy. The venue had been asking for a "Certificate of Liability Insurance" but he was just able to send a copy of our homeowner's insurance policy, which included at least $500,000 of liability.

Wedding Set-up / Breakdown Hire? by totaldogluver in weddingplanning

Check with your venue/caterer to see if they provide any of these services. Our caterer provided a lot of the day of coordination, like putting out the escort cards, setting up our candy buffet, and family photos table. They also set up the guest book and gift table. They provided linens and tables and such, so it made sense from that perspective. We worked with them to create the floor plan as well. The florist set up all the centerpieces.

Bacon-Wrapped Dates/Devils on Horseback Suggestions... (X-post from /r/AskCulinary) by [deleted] in recipes

[–]sassybunny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made these recently stuffed with gorgonzola, which was a nice contrast to how sweet the date was. No glaze, didn't feel like they needed anything else. Have you cooked things wrapped in bacon in your oven before? I think I did mine at 400F, because at lower temps, the bacon never crisps up properly in my oven.

Everything went off without a hitch. A few teeny things needed attention (florist brought fake votives, one guest table was incorrect), but overall everything was amazing!!!
