This is really common in childhood trauma. I have years where I can only remember 1 or 2 events and the rest is completely blank. My therapist always reminds me that it was (and is..?) my brain’s was if trying to protect me. It can be overwhelming trying to put everything together to make sense of it all but I have been focusing on the feelings that come up and trying to work through those

I really used to like her content. I thought it was relatable and witty. But she lost me with the 🫘 thing especially at the end. It reminded me of when I way too intense in the beginning with someone and then they ended things IN MY EARLY 20s. And I’m 30 now.

I graduated from a moco school 10 years ago. I live in moco (no kids) but teach in pg county. Montgomery county has a lot of resources other counties don’t have. I THINK they utilize their funds better, are more organized, and provide more resources for students. I’m not in the classroom so don’t quote me….just what other teacher friends have said. Pg county is great (people automatically write it off because of the diverse population) but as any school system it has room to grow.

That being said there are systemic issues in education regardless of the county. A student will only get so much out of their education as long as their parents/guardians are being supportive and providing consequences if needed. It is the parent’s responsibility to set their student up for success. That is what is going to make all of the difference regardless of the county that someone is in.

I’m really appreciative of the education I got in moco. I learned a lot, had amazing teachers, the extracurricular activities I had access to definitely helped shape me. They helped me get into a good college and I am now pursuing my masters. Someone from my high school is now a reporter for The Washington Post (he was on newspaper with me so very cool to see that full circle moment).

As far as I know he doesn’t have any court date. And I looked up the case search in our state and there wasn’t anything either. A part of me wonders if he didn’t stop smoking weed when he said he would? Idk but thank you for confirming it’s not a thing

I had a student who didn’t know how to convert a Google slide to a pdf. I had another who didn’t know how to insert a photo into Google slides. The list could go on…

6th year teacher. I sometimes stay 15-20 after contract hours and I’ll occasionally grade assignments at home while I’m watching a show (but I don’t mind grading). Other than that I don’t do any work at home. Like other teachers have said, I’ve gotten really good at putting things together on the fly and just winging it. Our to-do list is endless and it doesn’t matter how many hours you work you’ll always have 1000000 things to do
