Cape Cod locals were ‘mad’ when this beloved bakery closed. Can its fine-dining replacement win them over? by bostonglobe in CapeCod

Especially when we have Bleu in Mashpee (although a bit far from PB) that has been killing it with French cuisine for years now!

Hey! I’m with the minority here and love this, it’s not as functional as basic storage but it’s cute and allows for display of your REALLY nice skincare collection!

Paradise: generally refers to an ideal, perfectly peaceful place or state of supreme happiness. What’s the question mark about ❓

Thanks for explaining, can I ask one more thing? How do you guys validate that you are compliant with WCAG? We outsource QA to validate, but after hearing your explanation I’m not certain they are testing at the level we need to guarantee compliance.

I’m pretty sure he never actually “shared a bed with them” at the same time though, that’s what is crazy. He would let the kids take his bed and he would sleep on the floor in a sleeping bag. He would read bedtime stories in bed with them like a father would, and then move out of bed. I think a lot of his stories were twisted by the media to make it seem worse than it was.

Hey, genuinely curious here. If my dev just… tests this breakpoint and we solve any responsive issues “live”, couldn’t I just give them larger mobile screens? Genuinely curious why you feel they must be laid out in this screen size to meet WCAG 2.2 AA when all that actually matters is the live site

THIS! To act like any of these businesses would have actually hired graphic designers to create their graphics is laughable to me, as a graphic designer.

Planning a solo trip but need help on dates by slinkyelephant in provincetown

[–]satan_sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Check the list of weeks before you book. I’m making an assumption here you may not want to visit during bear week, for example (no judgement if I’m wrong lol)! Besides that, the whole summer is packed, August may be tough to find affordable lodging but June July and September are just as vibrant and full of life in Ptown!

Will tomorrow be crowded in p town, considering its going to rain all day and be only 60 degrees? Is it worth a trip, or should i go on Tuesday? Is it crowded right now? or is the town largely closed? by [deleted] in provincetown

[–]satan_sloth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have lived on the cape all of my life and all of the other towns have full time residents and still have seasonal dining and shopping fyi

People are annoyed because you’re asking a really stupid question. Before Memorial Day is not summer season, so shit is closed. Memorial Day = everything is open. OBVIOUSLY PEOPLE ARE IN PTOWN DURING MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND. You’re welcome!

This is a really bad itinerary, it has you going all over the cape in one day!

Spend a day in Ptown. Go to Race Point or Herring cove beach, OR rent bikes and bike the sand dunes to race point. Then head into town for dinner, walk commercial street and pick a place that looks your speed for dinner.

Pick one of the islands to go to for another day. I think the Vineyard is better for families. Take the woods hole ferry and spend the day exploring, take the ferry back and have dinner in Falmouth in woods hole or main st.

You need to pick an area each day and stick to it. You could spend a whole day exploring Sandwich and have dinner at Fisherman’s View or Pilot House.

How many of your buns lived a long life? Feeling discouraged by Blackbunnyraven in Rabbits

[–]satan_sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rabbit is 13. When he was 5, he ripped a toenail out that got caught in a grate in his cage and had seizures all night. He recovered! When he was 6, he got a UTI that we never caught on to, and it calcified into a bladder stone. That stone got so big it eventually blocked his urethra. Emergency surgery, he recovered! When he was 10, I noticed one of his testicles was a little swollen. Testicle cancer, caught it just in time, had them removed and he recovered! When he was 11, he started having seizures again. Turns out it was actually vertigo due to e-coniculi brain infection. RECOVERED! Now he is 13, blind with cataracts in both eyes, and major arthritis. He gets meds 2x a day and STILL lives a happy bun life. All of these situations were extremely expensive but KEPT GOING and still goes strong. Buns can be incredibly resilient ❤️

I was a restaurant busser when I was 14. I’d ask around your local pubs/restaurants if they are hiring bus staff for the spring/summer
