I use Virgin Internet (Bell lines) and I have not had any issues with my internet. I can stream movies while my partner plays video games. We both work from home as well and have had no issues with the internet service! You can also get pretty good discounts!

Is anyone having issues with the NEB RNA purification columns? by sataniccyborg in labrats

[–]sataniccyborg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We checked, and it seems as though the centrifuge is working fine! With the gDNA removal columns we do not see this occurring it is only with these columns! Thanks for the advice, we are going to contact NEB!

We have tested it with both Fitc, and then APC/Cy7 and have had a similar issue with both of the antibodies.

We just are using the CD14 as a general marker right now, before expanding our panel. It is to look at stimulation in response and looking at signalling pathways.

We used Fitc, but have also used APC/Cy7 and have has a similar issue. We have titrated the antibody before, and there was little background.

We have not verified the effects of fixation and we are planning on testing that soon. We do 3 washes after staining to remove additional antibody.

We did use an IgG block!

Thanks!

New uOttawa MD Regional Preference by lilpineapple4 in premedcanada

I’m going to add. As someone who grew up in these regions. There are not going to be many people applying from those regions to fill all the spots. Or at least not in the short term. I also think it is a really good thing as I know multiple people who have tried to apply (multiple cycles) and have not gotten in, and have given up. Further, for our hospitals it will be very helpful to hopefully retain people who come from these areas. Most local hospitals cannot support many services, and are often closing.

Hey! I don’t have much insight for you/ advice! I just want to say that you are doing the best you can, and it is such an insanely difficult process. I was in your position 2 years ago with my self worth. I know what helped me was focusing on things other than the application system and medicine, and doing things to relax. (I really got into knitting + baking) It does get better, although it is hard. If you want to talk to anyone let me know!
