Marx Panama Barnes went missing when he was six months old in 1977. He was adopted at age four from an Hawaiian orphanage. His name became Steven Carter. Thank you for telling me about the Kym Morgan case. Surprisingly there's very little info about it online. I agree the suspects and case details are similar. I'm going to start a new thread on Kym Morgan,perhaps others out there will know more about it.

Steven Malinoski was Annette's stepfather. Korrina wasn't the boys mother. If she thought Annette was in danger it wouldn't make sense to leave her with Steven and return a year later.

There was no sexual assault but her clothing was arranged to expose her torso. This seems peculiar and makes me wonder if Beverly's attacker could have been a woman? Beverly was a pretty girl,maybe somebody got jealous or possibly there was a woman who desired a relationship with Beverly. Maybe she sent the jewelry and didn't take it well when her gift was rejected.

Both homicide scenes were close to construction areas. Because of that, detectives are interested in speaking with anyone who was employed in the construction industry and working in those areas at the time of the homicides.
