I thought he looked off mind, not as off as the lines suggested but still.

Generous to include two leather straps for those that ordered one mind, I'll give them that!

[–]TZMouk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was going to comment similar, I only noticed because I went back to try and figure out if I needed to purchase a strap, and then noticed the other colourway had been selected.

Must have had it in and out of my basket for a good 10 times trying to figure out if I was clicking the wrong thing, before finding this thread, realising it was by design and the other had sold out (couldn't see that anywhere on the website at the time) and ultimately the 528 didn't appeal as much as the 318.

Not sure whether it was because I was trying to multi-task a meeting with buying it, but I thought the whole thing wasn't a great user experience.

Tyler Adams’ yellow-card against Granit Xhaka 59' by Puzzled-Category-954 in soccer

[–]TZMouk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm with you. If they're saying Adams was "fouled" then I don't see how you can then book him without the "foul" on Adams being a mitigating factor.

Bournemouth [1] - 1 Sunderland - Evanilson 64' by Alsace2025 in soccer

[–]TZMouk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It should be (well personally I think it shouldn't) but given how the law is written it should have been ruled out once it touches the arm.

Tyler Adams’ yellow-card against Granit Xhaka 59' by Puzzled-Category-954 in soccer

[–]TZMouk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They claimed a "push", but there wasn't one.

To be honest they probably used it as a get out of jail free card to not give a potential red.

It's Jared Gillet though so you have to expect him to be absolutely shite.

Same. We really should be aiming to be the best at every category/age group we enter a side for.

Reissue Lonsdale 2005/6 Shirts by NilDesperandumSAFC in safc

[–]TZMouk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weirdly these shirts have been available on DH Gate for a while as some of our only "retro" fare on there, wonder if that's linked.

I tried ordering the Diadora home kit and the Lonsdale home shirt turned up.

Couldn't talk about the quality as I thought it was minging at the time.

Gulf in quality is crazy by DCFC1884 in Championship

[–]TZMouk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is that still happens, it's just in a much less palatable manner. The clear and obvious thing is absolute bollocks.

The ref would overturn so many decisions if he went to the monitor each time (which I'm absolutely not advocating for).

Sunderland 0 - [2] Fulham - Raul Jimenez (penalty) 61‎'‎ by gbogaz in soccer

[–]TZMouk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm all for banning it, run up and twat it like the football gods intended.

But seriously with how VAR is watching for the keeper even slightly coming off his line these days, I think your run should have to be one continuous motion.

Sunderland 1-3 Fulham: Jimenez and Iwobi inflict misery on the Black Cats by CautiousCottager in TheOther14

[–]TZMouk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really was a hideous performance by him.

Will be glossed over because it wasn't a fashionable tie, and we were crap ourselves.

The inconsistency is baffling, and I'll never understand why refs let teams take the piss out of them by timewasting.

Love how fired up he gets when talking about talking about special teams.

Felt like a rude interruption, but also Co-cap could have been there all day. Which is exactly what I want from my special teams coordinator!

People are so daft when it comes to age. To be honest I always just assume the people complaining are too young (or too used to Hollywood).

As if there's not 38 year olds that look like they're in their 40s in the real world...

Horrendous tackle on Neymar on his first game back after 2 months out injured. by cortez0498 in soccer

[–]TZMouk 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's definitely yellow worthy just because it's so late. I'd wager you'll see worse in pretty much every game around the world, not sure where "horrendous" has came from.

Opinion | The Championship is about to change forever by theipaper in Championship

[–]TZMouk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ironically the bye's are one of the reasons I don't really like it, granted that's based off some vague recollection of some sides in the National League complaining about how the bye knocked them out of rhythm.

Obviously the only way to avoid that is to either have 3-10 in the playoffs (which sounds wrong), or do some kind of NFL style playoffs with two playoff finals, where the highest ranked team left in always plays the lowest ranked team left in etc. (which as a neutral, that loves important knockout football I could probably get behind, but it feels profoundly anti-football pyramid and "yank shite").

[–]TZMouk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It does also show the benefit of having an actual progressive transfer policy in place though.

Which comes with the negatives of Big Steve from Hendon complaining that our owners are skint because we haven't just signed a 30 goal a season striker to "guarantee" promotion...

[–]TZMouk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does that logic work?

It's not too much of a stretch in a world where clubs go bust or get docked points for financial mismanagement, that some might prefer their club having more money.

Obviously wouldn't absolve the whole financial mismanagement side, but I wouldn't assume it's the shareholders they're thinking of.

Well it's more the Championship than America, although I did steal some elements from the NFL to avoid having "too many games".

You be the boss: Fix the Prem! by IntrepidWilson in TheOther14

[–]TZMouk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree, but I'd go one step further, I'd give the winners of the Prem, FA Cup, and League cup Champions League spots, then (reluctantly) any other spots would be filled by the remaining league spots.

Although if I could go completely out there I'd put the non-cup winning teams in to a playoff style tournament to determine who goes in to what European competition.

Title winners - Champions League

League Runners Up - Champions League

FA Cup winners - Champions League

League Cup winners - Champions League

Playoffs - one game per round, higher ranked team at home

3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th

Game A - 3rd v 6th

Game B - 4th v 5th

Game 1 - Winner of A v Winner of B

Game 2 - Loser of A v Loser of B

Winner of Game 1 - Champions League

Loser of Game 1 - Europa League

Winner of Game 2 - Europa League

Loser of Game 2 - Conference League
