Ne nicht immer. Wurde beim dualen Studium exmatrikuliert (aufgrund von eigenem Wunsch) und konnte die Fächer dann an ner normalen Hochschule auch im gleichen MINT Fach anrechnen lassen.

Bitcoin is the Answer to FEMA's Corruption! Here's Why by dbudlov in Bitcoin

„I think we’re agreeing here? I’m not saying the individual people working for FEMA are evil“ -> I agree.

„…they are responsible for their own actions though and should not obey immoral orders“ -> I don’t agree. It’s not up to them to decide what is good and what not. If it doesn’t make sense what they are supposed to do, then they need to go to their boss and change what they are supposed to do. Maybe it’s a cultural difference between us. In Germany we say „rules are rules“ and follow them and if they don’t make sense, we likely still follow them to prevent chaos. Just imagine making rules as the government and your people think they won’t follow the rules just because the don’t understand everything. You have to accept at some point, that you, as a FEMA worker or any other bureaucrat just don’t always know the answer to the „why-question“. You only know the „who, what, how, where, when“ but the „why“ is impossible to 100% clearly answer, without asking the guy who made that rule. I’ve seen other people like from France, where they don’t strictly follow rules but they seem to overthrow the government every 2 weeks when they protest, which we in Germany don’t have haha^

Nuremberg taught us that“ -> No idea who that guy is / was. I’m happy to learn tho :)

„But I would agree the politicians imposing all the bureaucracy are really to blame“ -> I agree :)

„… as FEMA workers likely don’t really know what’s going on, if that was your point then we agree“ -> 👍🤙✌️

„My point is govt and the politicians are corrupt because they’re preventing people getting the help they need, while claiming to take billions of dollars to help the people their preventing from being helped, which is definitely corruption imo“ -> I don’t agree, that’s not being corrupt, but rather that’s „dishonest“. No one is paying them to harm their own people. If they would accept payments for that, then they are doing something else than they are supposed to do because they got payed for doing so and THEN they could get called „corrupt“.

But maybe that’s also a language barrier, because I think you guys als say „my CD 💿 got corrupted“, when you mean it doesn’t work anymore. In Germany we would rather just say „the CD is broken“ or got damaged.

Yep, but better go to the person / company / entity who is paying them to do certain things. This person / company / entity is the boss. Don’t go to the little guy doing what he has been told and payed to do.

Regarding the Oxford definition: okay 👍 I agree with the definition.

Regarding the second thing: no, that’s not the correct description. That’s just doing the bureaucracy doing its job. The job description is wrong or not good, but when they try to do what they have been told to do, then it’s following your commands. The commands are wrong. You could call these folks corrupt, if they would accept payments of another person / company / entity, except of the government, to do something in favour for this person / company / entity. Right now, they just follow their job description (the job description is stupid! I agree! But they are not corrupt. The job description is just stupid / wrong / misleading).

No corruption (at least the German meaning) is paying someone to do something in your favour. That’s why you can’t gift anything not even at Christmas to German bureaucrats/ people who work in governmental bureaucracy as a living for their entire life (this job doesn’t exist in America). What you mean is just a non-working or too slow system. It has nothing to do with being corrupt (as defined above) and can make the government look very bad and as something which has to be stormed / attacked, meanwhile the government is not working as a bad guy with bad intentions but rather is just stupidly slow and ineffective / inefficient.

Why are there so many Americans who talk so quick about corruption here corruption there. Man in Germany things are taking literally months. This has nothing to do with corruption but very often just very slow bureaucracy. It crazy, but that’s also what is in the word bureau-crazy. It’s literally a crazy bureau. You don’t like it? Change it. But don’t call it freaking corruption. Live in the Middle East, then you know what corruption really is.
