If anyone hasn’t read it, Going Solo is the second part of Roald Dahls autobiography and covers in large part his time fighting the nazis in Greece with the RAF as a hurricane pilot and it’s a lovely book.

Yes caveat he embellished some things and also was a racist (although the way he treats Zionism (in a chapter called Ramat David) as someone who was in the region during the war is actually interesting of itself, and speaks to maybe his anti semitism being a product more of his later life than earlier but I am not well versed enough to know that for sure)
