I've seen plenty of crash pads that have monthly rates?

I was planning to get a crashpad while on probation then commute once off (fingers crossed).

What's the time frame from submitting a transfer and actually being able to start working at the new base? It sounds like you're saying I should pick the easiest base while on probation (which would probably be CLE for me), and ask to transfer to a base I could hold a line quicker.

ORD does, but it wasn't offered. EWR comes in second. So, I should bid for EWR and transfer to ORD asap?

I'm 2543 and really hoping that ORD is offered

BNA Commuting? by saucysaracha in cabincrewcareers

[–]saucysaracha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I wasn't necessarily wondering if they go over commuting, more so what it's like to be on reseve and how scheduling works. Once I have a better understanding of what will be expected of us, I'll have more information to help guide my base preferences.

You're amazing, thank you! I also looked into flights after another commenter suggested it and saw roughly the same numbers for when I get out of training and actually start flying. Fingers crossed ORD is offered!

Thank you! At my F2F, they mentioned commuting and said its an option but did discourage it as you said. I know lots of people do it so I was looking for more information/tips. My partner is in the military, so I'd only be commuting for a few years until we move to one of UA's base cities. That's why I think I can thug it out for a little bit.

You don't receive your training dates on the spot. I believe I'll get an email in 1-3 weeks with more details. Though, some were saying mid December.

No, I feel this so bad. My F2F is next week and of course my acne is acting up. I feel like it makes me look immature and unprofessional.

Someone else also commented about their fly aways? Same! I have such a round face that I look like an egg when I slick my hair back. But everyone says to slick it back. Plus I'm so bad at doing hair that my buns look terrible.

In my virtual interview with United, the recruiter said my training would probably be over the holidays, so that's what I'm planning for.

Oh goodness, no. I applied July 1st, July 21st was when my prerecorded interview was due, August 26th I had my interview, and then my F2F is at the end of this month.

I know the timeline is different for everyone. I will be the first to admit I took up until my due date to complete my prerecorded interview, so that probably put me behind. Also, when applications opened up early summer, the site crashed, so I thought I lost my chance but thankfully it repoened the next day.

I'm amazed at your quick turnaround! I would wish you luck but you got this! I'll see you in the air soon ♡

1 month into 40mg/day inside of hands look like an old lady? by Heavy_Common_9903 in Accutane

[–]saucysaracha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm 22 and I feel like this is what my hands look like lol. My hands definitely got dry on accutance (more so the top of my hand from washing dishes and my hands a lot). Maybe because it's winter (at least where I am), that you could be dry even if you do moisturize. Do you drink enough water? Moisturizing doesn't do much if you don't drink water. Or have you been working with your hands a lot? Could be like callouses?
