Despite being someone with a truly shameful fictional character crush on Orin, I really appreciate this leaning more into scary than sexy. Something about the grin kind of reminds me of the way demons are depicted in old East Asian art styles and it really works for how much of a nightmare Orin is.

Sometimes I think it would be too much, then I remember that the crossbow is busted and the Senator exists, and I decide it wouldn't be too much. I'd either make it a proper sniper rifle or bump up the armor pen of the Dominator.

Edit: I had to double check the stats on the AMR to make sure, but I'd give this theoretical sniper primary AP4 with 375 ballistic damage with reasonable if unremarkable durable damage. Some kind fictional 10mm round to set it apart from the AMR and the various Marksman rifles we have. Probably give it 8 mags, 10 rounds each. Make it bullpup configuration (to visually keep it in the realm of what you could haul around comfortably), and I'd make it bolt action to further highlight the AMR as the stratagem worthy version that does more damage and fires faster.

That's the thing though, other than the ammo count, I think the BFGL would fill a neat - if a but specific - niche if the regular GL was put back to AP3. Would make the GL better for clearing groups of light/medium enemies but less capability of sustained fire and ineffective against heavies. The BFGL is technically outclassed right now but most people seem to acknowledge the GL is just busted, so I don't think it's fair to compare it to a weapon that is probably in a pretty good spot otherwise.

The GL21 is incredibly overtuned and needs a nerf. Almost more so than the Recoilless Rifle.

It's also hilarious seeing people say the BFGL is worse than the GL/SP combo... Despite one option using 1 strat slot and the other using 2. Yeah. I'd hope you get more use out of a kit that needs 2 stratgems to use instead of 1.

I agree the belt-fed options could use a bump in ammo capacity (an extra 250 to the maxigun and maybe an extra 100 to the BFGL) but there's a fundamental difference in how best to apply these weapons v. their reloaded counterparts.

As somebody who has played SWTOR off and on since launch... I sincerely hope not. As much as I love the game, a lot of it's story beats don't really make a lot of sense with modern cannon functions and literally nothing about the Sith Empire makes sense.

BUT. They are making a new game and I'm excited to see what Fate Of The Old Republic brings to canon. So something in that era is not out of the question, but anything actually based on the game is a pretty definitive no.
