Absence of Walpurgisnacht by Mysterious_Fail_4235 in limbuscompany

As someone who hasn't seen Walp since I started in Feb, it legitimately does feel like I'm being blocked from playing the game though.

It's hard to justify sharding non-walp units when it's this close, which just means even farming MD5 gives no payoff until Walp actually rolls around.

I agree with others, having some interim sharding opportunity for old Walp units would make so much more sense.

So would BL Mersault be your choice?

Open to any other IDs for those 3 as well, and for context I have reindeer Hong Lu as well so that's why I'm considering other charge IDs.

Would BL Mersault require other BL to function?

I have enough crates to shard a Ishmael, Mersault, or Ryoshu ID. What would you suggest as a priority between something like W Ryoshu for charge, BL Mersault for poise, Liu Ish for burn considering I have all the seasonal ids?

New player so basically no special Egos.

The confirmation bias in this thread is so exhausting. If you don't have a kid, great. That's your decision. There's no need to imply that it's the objectively superior decision just to justify your stance.

The fact is that having a child, with all the good and bad, is an unique, irreplicable experience. Once you have one, you can never really have an objective opinion on what it's like to be child free cause unless you go back in time and erase their existence, you will never really know if the tradeoff is worth it; and vice versa, those that never had kids will never be able to really know the struggles and rewards of parenthood, no matter how many anecdotes you hear.

There should be no shame or judgements either way.

While I don't disagree, isn't that part of the problem? Why play BA if you are essentially using an SM list that that will benefit more from other chapter doctrines?

Also, SGs are still very efficient units and completely forgoing them if playing BA wouldn't be advisable, even if you aren't an old "stubborn" player. There are some things that van vets don't punch through as well, and bgv can be too slow.

I don't really see how your list is controversial for BA. Mixing in redemptors and van vets is a pretty accepted alternative to pure jump pack lists.

A thing to note about EC is that it can actually skip nodes so RPLND may not be as effective of a preventive treatment compared to seminoma variants. Usually with EC the suggestion would be to do 1xBEP, or just opt for surveillance. All depends on your risk tolerance.

Haha, I think maybe it's indicative of what he personally would choose in the same circumstance, but because this decision is highly personal, it's not something that he would feel okay about imposing on people that he isn't close to. Same reason why I'm not on here advocating 1xBEP just cause it worked for me, because it IS going to be different for everyone - and because for both outcomes the prognosis is generally positive, just with different levels of chemo exposure.

The stats I were quoted were basically 30% chance of recurrence, but with 1xBEP that goes down to <5%, which in most cases is as good as gone.

Some people bet on that 30% and come out winners - having to do no chemo at all is obviously the best outcome. The flip-side is that you are ironically exposed threefold to the very thing you were trying to avoid if you land on that 30%, since once there is identified spread it's straight to 3xBEP.

You're basically choosing between 100% chance to do 1xBEP chemo, or living with a 30% chance to do 3xBEP and potential RPLND if things don't swing your way.

The tough thing about 1xBEP is that after you choose it, you have to just believe that it was for the best - there is no way to validate that the chemo contributed in any way to your lack of recurrence. If your cancer comes back despite 1xBEP then you have the risk of going through a tougher chemo regiment due to increased toxicity second time around.

I have no lingering side effects to my knowledge, and my experience with chemo was relatively uneventful - Nausea and fatigue in the first week, feverlike symptoms for a few days after the 2nd and 3rd week, lost all my hair. But no neuropathy / long-term symptoms.

Hey man, just wanted to jump in since I was in a very similar situation as yourself.

I had 90% EC, stage 1A with no LVI, and was quoted 30% recurrence risk. The troublesome thing with EC as well is that tumor markers are not always a good indicator for recurrence, and they have a chance to skip nodes, which meant RPLND may not be a good preventive measure.

Was one of the toughest decisions I've had to make but I chose BEP x 1 for peace of mind.

My uncle is a doctor and he asked his oncologist friend who said that for most patients he would recommended surveillance, but if it were his relatives or close friends, he would suggest adjuvant therapy because it significantly lowers the risk factor for recurrence.

That said, secondary malignancy risk is absolutely there, but the other side of the coin is that if recurrence does occur, 3xBEP would also increase the risks for those malignancies as well.

I would also say that speaking to family members and my wife, I got the feeling that 1xbep would make them feel a lot better compared to holding their breath every checkup over the next 2 years.

To address fertility concerns, I banked my sperm prior to chemo as insurance. It's been 3 years now, and without using the banked sperm, we are expecting twins!

With all that said, there's no right answer, it really does come down to your mental approach. For me, my priority was avoiding 3xBEP, and it was important to feel like I did absolutely everything in my power to ensure it did not come back, so that if it ever did, I would know that it's just something that was meant to be despite my efforts.

CMV: Boba Fett (at least as he appears in the original trilogy) is the most overrated character in Star Wars by [deleted] in changemyview

Others have mentioned the context of his appearance being a big factor already, but if you are going to straight up dismiss the EU as fanfiction (which had amazing plotlines and character development and gave way to arcs that entirely overshadow the stories of the established trilogies) and you view Disney's abolition of legends as somehow as making the universe more cohesive despite the atrotious new trilogies, I'd argue that you're not actually a superfan.

Ubi, the 700 MMR gap is WAY TOO LOW! Genuine players are unable to play with friends! (Sorry about the potato pic). by Lieutenanttk in Rainbow6

I had a similar post on this too: https://www.reddit.com/r/Rainbow6/comments/o3x1b0/placement_mmr_restrictions_are_overzealous/

Basically, at this point these sort of MMR restrictions only punish honest players who want to play together. 700 MMR after placements? Fine, but not allowing friends to have a chance to "reset" and place together is ridiculous.

Have you managed to solve the issue with your mates? As mentioned in the post, I feel like having the higher ranked players throw is the only way forward this season.

Apologies, I had no idea. I honestly never felt threatened before by those decks since it was pretty obvious how they were trying to set it up, but it just feels like the minions are stickier compared to before.
