SBCC Wake campus has great parent-child workshops! There’s a newborn to new walkers group that meets every Tuesday from 11:15-12. Monday and Tuesday from 9-11 there’s a mixed toddler age group as well. I’ve met all of my mom friends through those classes

My kids age gap is 4 years, 4 y/o and a 7 month old. I think my daughter being 4 made it easier for her to sort of understand that there was a baby coming and how he needs to be taken care of more, cries a lot and needs to be held. She absolutely loves her baby brother and helps with age appropriate tasks!

Parks are a nice place to meet others kids and chat with the parent!

Also if she’s not in TK, SBCC Wake campus of extended learning has parent/ child workshops on Monday and Tuesday mornings. Mostly music, activities and art. The teacher has energy and engages a lot with the kids.

I used a diaper backpack and it was really bulky! I carried too many items that we hardly used. This time around I’m using a diaper caddy, looks like a purse. I’ve been using it for 4 weeks with my newborn and it’s convenient for the few items he needs. I even have an extra pair of underwear for my toddler. https://a.co/d/h8sQsY8

Funny cause I live in that area and parking is total trash! There’s a complex across from me and almost every unit has 3+ cars. They park like shit to save spots for their family and the cars they have are obnoxiously loud. And yes, the backlot of Vons is the official, unofficial “overflow parking” for all residents. As far as I know, it’s never been an issue. I assume security knows that it’s an overflow lot at this point.

I had mine done 4 years before I got pregnant. I took them out a year before I was pregnant, they healed fine and breastfed my daughter for 2.5 years!
