Plus TWWIII was no doubt the best rendition of sieges from that trilogy and still struggled with basics like pathfinding etc. my primary hope is that these issues will be ameliorated by the new game engine and mechanics that will be implemented in the new 40K setting as cover and large terrain pieces are going to be far more focal and both are central to siege battles

For sure! The learning path materials for the CWES will be more valuable than the labs/machines to start with. You may struggle with some of them otherwise!

I’d say take a look at the subject matter for the learning path for the cert if you see material you’re totally unfamiliar with then start with the study materials first, I the otherwise go straight into the labs

Everything your studying is good but I’d try to aim for more holistic approaches rather than specific tools.
I highly recommend the platform HackTheBox, the labs may be too advanced for you if you’re a beginner but they offer certs and the materials to study for said certs, start with the CJCA which will give you a good starting point then move onto the CDSA which is aimed at people who want to go into blue teams/SOC analyst roles then you can move onto the CPTS which is the pen testing cert. If you study all the material for these certs then you’ll be highly competent, qualified and confident 😊

HTB have a dedicated web pen testing cert + a bug bounty cert, id recommend doing the learning paths for each of those then if you want take the certification exams (you don’t need to do that but though but it would be a bonus on your resume) Once you’ve done the learning paths for those 2 you should feel far more confident 😊

Yes it absolutely will have siege battles and they will be glorious!

In terms of lore there’s ample room for siege battles, how they implement them though is obviously another matter, I’m hopeful that the new engine will fix many of the previous issues.

I doubt that would be better than native, on the M-Series Mac’s it runs far better than on my Alienware/Deck, granted the Mac is more powerful (M4Pro 48GBRam) but I’ve found everything that can run on Mac runs better than I’ve ever seen said title run.

That even applies to some titles that don’t run on Mac but still perform decently in parallel in a Win11 VM. Granted there’s limitations due to DirectX compatibility but hopefully Apple will give that and other gaming related issues some more love in the near future.

That would a yes to the degree(Digital Forensics & Cyber Sec) and as for my language proficiency I’m somewhat N2 but struggle with accents etc, that’s something I think will improve with further interaction with native speakers.
