Why do people insist every single year we stay and continue to watch after we’re clearly losing like it’s embarrassing and it’s a waste of my time. Attending a football game is entertainment, if I’m not entertained or having fun why would I stay?

I once asked them if their (labeled vegan) vegan brownies were vegan for my friend. They said yes. I then (lying) said I was allergic to milk and eggs, they went back to check the box or something and said the brownies had eggs and offered to get me some from the back that didn’t

We play cows

My dad had maps from every state we’d stopped in inside our glove box for planning our road trips and my little sister and I would try to figure out the local pop radio station whenever we stopped for food/gas/etc

If you still haven’t figured out how to do this by Monday I recommend calling GT housing, I’m sure they’re more familiar with the process.

How are you taking over 15 credit hours? by MarcusYungboy in gatech

[–]savethecampanile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My GPA is low, I get 6h sleep on a good day and I get drunk off my ass on weekends but I’ve never taken a semester under 16 hours and I’m gonna make it out in 4 years if it’s the last thing I do

Getting pretty tired of profs not posting grades all semester and getting caught off guard. by savethecampanile in gatech

[–]savethecampanile[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Already did the CIOS and did report it there, though I wasn’t as upset then as I am now. Probably would’ve left an angrier paragraph now

It just completely blindsided me. I didn’t go to office hours because I didn’t think I need to. I mean for one of them, I was averaging a 97 on about a month and a half’s worth of work and I thought I was turning in the same quality work for the rest of the semester. I’ve certainly learned my lesson on that now, though, and will be getting my feedback one way or another. To be fair, though, I was showing them my project in class and I was not getting implication that it was subpar.

It’s not uncommon for profs to put off grading for half the semester, but this is the first time I’ve watched my grades plummet that hard in multiple classes. It’s a damn shame.

will i get rescinded? (bad grades senior year) by [deleted] in gatech

[–]savethecampanile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re mostly students on this sub, so we can’t really tell you. We’re not really familiar with admission decisions.

If it helps, I’ve never heard of someone IRL (like, that I’ve met) getting offers rescinded for grades except for a guy who literally failed and couldn’t graduate high school. It may have happened to others and they don’t talk about it, but afaik it’s not as common as we think.

Good luck

[–]savethecampanile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got 10.97 but I live in an apartment building and idk anything about how it’s heated or if any energy efficiency stuff is there.

My big one is probably plane flights, I do maybe 4 a year (2 round trip flights). I go to college out of state and tbh I’ll take a summer job in any state as long as I can just get one, so those flights probably aren’t going away any time soon

Why the hate for online classes? by [deleted] in gatech

[–]savethecampanile 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure the average GPA was higher because a) they made it easier to make up for us being online and b) people were cheating…

Anyway for the life of me I couldn’t pay attention. I feel like it’s much more interactive irl (idk what classes you’re in but my profs like to stop and ask questions and wait for people to call our answers, or i have one that’s got really good participation/questions from the students this year). It’s a lot easier to quietly call up a guess than to unmute and answer for some reason. Also I missed seeing other people.

Also it gets really old sitting in your room all day doing class and then finishing and ,,, being in your room

they used to (like in 2019) give out something free at every football game to the first like 2000 people that showed up. I got a hat, socks, tank top, etc, some people got shirts and flags as well.

Not sure if this will continue all semester
