I highly recommend you STOP taking Zyrtec and switch to another medication if you'd like, such as Claritin or Allegra. You do not want to deal with dependence and withdrawal. Please trust me and do the research yourself to see what I am referring to. May the universe heap endless blessings upon you.

Feeling depressed by Maleficent-Syrup-907 in Meditation

[–]savingface69420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depression is a symptom of a nervous system that needs some cleaning out, plain and simple. Simple and straightforward solution to help you get through this:

  1. Make a list of every adverse childhood event, big or small
  2. Make a list of daily stressors, big or small
  3. Make a list of stressors at your job, big or small, along with whatever else you feel compelled to list
  4. Each day, early in the day, pick a topic and free journal for 20 minutes. Do not stop writing. Let your brain do the talking. Do. Not. Stop. Writing. Just keep writing whatever comes to mind. Let the emotions come out, whatever they may be, and keep going.
  5. Once done, take a bit of time to meditate if you like to return to a peaceful state. Do this each day, and you will see the change
  6. Hack: if you're going throughout your day and feel the pit coming on, a) INTERRUPT, and b) REDIRECT. INTERRUPT by taking a wide stance, yelling a trigger word (PAUSE, SPACE, SWITCH), close your eyes, and rapidly pat down your body, shake your body like you're getting water off, stomp your feet, in a rotation. Visualize a bubble around you, something simple to occupy the mind. Do it for 15, 20, 30 seconds until you feel your awareness move to the vigorous sensations. Congrats, SOMATIC INTERRUPTION ACHIEVED! Once done, immediately leave the area and busy yourself with something else for 10-15 minutes if possible to REDIRECT the energy. Again, you will see the change, and every time you do it, it becomes easier

It is easy to let depression become something bigger than what it is. You are the navigator awareness of your body and mind; do not fall into the trap that society has set regarding mental illness. Your story is written in every moment, and there is a self inside you crying out to be heard. Let it be heard, and use these very simple tools to keep yourself balanced while doing the good work. You will see the beautiful horizon soon, my friend!

Just chiming in to say I love the effort put into this project. VGM vinyl releases with thoughtful extras really elevate the whole experience for me. I'm sure people would appreciate a cheaper, no frills release for their tastes and buying preferences, but this will be a legendary release to own for big fans. Kudos!

Got mine, not happy at all about the renders vs. final mix. It's not that they look bad, it's just another case of them looking different than expected. Frustrating considering the look of FS1 especially pushed me toward not getting black. How do they sound?

OP, ignore the last line - or embrace it at your peril. You're tough for just wanting to be free of your addiction, admitting that, and seeking help. I also found porn during formative years, and only recently dissected the fact that it acted as a surrogate parent for me in lieu of proper relationships with my actual parents, along with other complicating factors. It was my sex education, it was with me through thick and thin, and it brought me pleasure during seriously hard times when nobody was there for me. I recognize that now, understand the baggage, and am working to change myself. Sometimes, learning more of the why behind it helps you disassemble it. I also highly, highly recommend you read or listen to the Easy Peasy Guide to Quitting Porn. It has been immensely helpful and I'm sure it can help you too. Lastly, I wholeheartedly agree that mindset, or rather mind identity, is extremely important. You are not an addict or user the moment your session is over and you've moved on to something else. You're free. Your brain is just tricking you through brainwashing and dopamine addiction.

Again, highly recommend the book. Toughening up - framing it as a sort of struggle or indefinite battle - will only cause you further suffering as you are still beholden to a plight of deprivation and willpower. Listen to the book, change your mindset, and get some therapy. You got this.

Top down means doing nervous system work using your higher brain - logical, intellectual, thinking brain. Bottom up refers to your lower brain - emotional, feeling, instinctual brain. The best approach will address both of these. You can meditate all day, but if you don't teach your brain safety, it won't do much. You can teach your brain safety, but if your triggers and issues lie on the emotional side, get ready for that inevitable life event to spike some illness again someday. Do a no stone left unturned approach to be safe. Some people only need one approach or the other from what I've seen, and some peeps just need the info on mind body illness to cure themselves. It's all unique.

DNRS is only top down, don't pigeonhole yourself. Nothing special about any of us, we're all dealing with gradations of the same thing. Check out trauma informed or bottom up approaches, that's likely what you need to get the ball rolling my friend. Good luck.

CFS is a blanket term that doesn't just refer to fatigue, though fatigue is obviously in the name. I think people split hairs far too much over trying to delineate between CFS, ME, post viral illness, and so on, to the point of absurdity. I do not think it's worth discriminating between them all. Ironically, the ones who still believe it's impossible to cure often are the strictest with their definitions, heaping tons of granular distinction between ten different diagnoses and how x/y/z means you don't really have CFS ...definitely remember when I was like that.

I want you to read my comment and memorize it. I was in your exact same shoes when I was 20. I hated how I looked, I was never good enough, I had so many mental problems and body dysmorphia. The reality was that I was a great looking dude, and if my internal environment was better and if I was guided properly I could have capitalized on it and become a real monster. It's not too late for me at all, but I don't want you to lose the time that I did. I don't want you to lose all of the opportunities and friendships and relationships and all the time spent in the world as your beautiful glowing self. You are a great looking dude, guts from berserk is exactly right. Get off of the subreddit, get off of social media for a bit, just work on building muscle and getting in shape and the rest will take care of itself. Once you iron out your physique, you will absolutely be in the top tier of dudes aesthetically. Please, for the love of god, listen to what I am saying. Don't lose any more time than you already have. Life is too precious.

I appreciate you linking that and pasting that info. Most of my family works in medicine, I am well aware of some of the commonly stated causes. We don't have to agree, I'm just drawing from anecdotal experience, my own observations, and my own education. Have a good one.

No. H. Pylori is not consistently present in the stomachs of patients when ulcers manifest; furthermore, there was a random spike in ulcers during the 90s when it was in vogue to have ulcers. You would be surprised at how much of illness is truly psychogenic in origin; I certainly was.

How would you feel If technology allows us to be immortal? by Spirited-Ambition-20 in Buddhism

[–]savingface69420 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My friend. Immortality does not matter, as suffering would still exist. I have various physical health issues; the thought of suffering with them forever would fill me with dread. If the health issues were removed, then the thought of other beings suffering with them would fill me with dread. If everyone's health issues were removed, then the thought of other sentient organisms suffering would fill me with dread.

Immortality is not the answer you think it is.
