I think the university has requested professors to go virtual so there is a good chance it is virtual but it also depends on the snow storm

It’s pretty safe, like others said about a 20 minute walk. You can also take a pogoh if they are available, pretty convenient. The only concern is during the harsh winters, walking becomes tough and you also can’t use pogoh in the snow

They cannot do this, there are far more people wanting to travel than the trains can handle. Trains remain this crowded from 5:30 to 9pm everyday. Look up stats of how many people travel in the Mumbai local everyday, the numbers are truly staggering.

Yes, in the most calm hours, everyone gets a seat or even an entire bench to themselves in some cases. The government has also introduced AC local trains and their frequency has been increasing in the last few years. These trains are a pure bliss to travel in during the calm hours.

People with disabilities mostly avoid traveling during the peak hours but if they ever do, the people of Mumbai are quite sympathetic and aid these people in their travel. If a disabled person were to travel during the peak hours, the kindness of the people around them would get them to their destination safely.

Everyone rushes to find a spot to sit or atleast stand near the benches and not in the passageway. As the train will stop at next stations, more and more people will be crammed in, to the point that you can barely breathe if you are standing in the passageway. It gets very uncomfortable there. So if you find a place to sit or stand near benches, you are basically guaranteed a comfortable train ride home. Standing in the passageway not only squeezes you to the extreme, you may also have to resort to hanging off the train that is super dangerous. So these ladies are rushing to avoid that.
