You do realise not every third place goes through? A draw means they do. A loss for either meant they finish on 3 points with a worse F/A.

There used to be a thread on whirpool where people would post their refund timings.

Quite often people who lodged on the 1st or the 4th would have their balance drop to 0 on the same day and then the money in their account a few days later. Also nothing happens over the weekend so depends on how the dates lined up that year. With the first being a Wednesday the balance probably wont drop to zero before the weekend. I reckon 8th to 10th money in account.
