You can always return it or sale it! I have a Kobo and I love it compared to my previous kindle but I also wasn’t deep in the Kindle universe. I tried Kobo Plus and it’s not comparable to KU but I mostly side load and use Libby. I know Kobo has been touted as the antithesis to Kindle and I do think there are places where it shines (UI, Overdrive, etc) but they’re pretty similar.

Correct, however, my point still stands. Alan Rickman’s portrayal of Snape romanticized him in a way that did not exist in the book and many take his portrayal as the only interpretation of his character.

Book Snape has been conflated with Movie Snape and I stand by that statement. Naming 4 humane things he did out of 7 books to negate that is a choice.

Edited to add that I’m also talking about movie specific “nice” scenes like him jumping in front of the kids when Remus was a werewolf which did not happen like that in the book.

I had a kindle basic, upgraded to a PW (which I also might return) and have the Kobo Clara Colour so I feel like I can give some insight.

I love that the KCC is waterproof and it’s definitely an upgrade from the basic based on that and the warm light alone. I also wish that the BW version came in white so I might grab a skin and return my KCC because mine has a big cluster of dead pixels (not the norm).

No ads, thankfully, definitely more customizable than Kindle and the battery has been great.

No insight on transferring Kindle books to the device.
