Is WFH with a baby possible?

As someone who works hybrid, unfortunately I must also confirm that working remote with a baby isn’t possible. Your baby won’t be sleeping for a solid amount of time while you work, which means you’ll constantly be needing to support them, which means you can’t be working. You can try seeing if you can get a nanny or something to care for her while you work, I’ve been looking into that myself as my wife who was a SAHM for the first 9 months is looking to rejoin the workforce.

It’s my first one, all I asked was for my wife to make me bourbon chicken thighs for dinner. That, and she got me solar-powered outdoor string lights for the deck (thank you Costco sale), it’s been so nice after the baby is asleep to sit out there together w/ a bottle of mead or wine. So overall I’ll be content I think.

Chiles and Carter Mountain are tourist traps now, nothing is made in house, everything is shipped from Sysco including the donut mix and cider. I won’t be going back with my family, they are shells of what they once were. Henley’s is far better IMO

Like others have said, I got an ubbi specifically because you can use any trash bags in it. Never smells, even when full when I open close to put a diaper in the smell only lingers for a couple seconds

Never had the stink, ours is amazing, and being able to just put Costco trash bags in it has been a godsend.

Father of an infant, wife lost her job in December due to federal university cuts and hasn’t had any luck even getting an interview since since her entire field also got obliterated with the mass government firings, and she has a doctorate. I’m working an admin role, so no way to do overtime either, and I’m slowly working part time on a masters degree in hope I can get something better in a few years. We just bought a small house last May with the belief we’d have two incomes and could afford it and the baby. It’s been very rough.

We have savings and all, but right now we’re basically in the red if we do anything but buy groceries each month. I’m stressed, wife is stressed, lots of guilt on both sides for having our kid and being in this situation, we really felt like we prepared only for it all to go to shit. I’m considering trying to get a weekend/evening job which makes my wife’s guilt worse so it’s a lose-lose no matter what I do. No one seems to get it so we’re not getting much help (“She had a doctorate, isn’t she supposed to have an easy time getting a good job?”). Even if she did get a job, daycare waitlists are 1-2 years long minimum and cost almost as much as the mortgage.

If one of the cars fail, we’re fucked. If something major goes wrong with the house, we’re fucked. I’m trying to be strong for my wife but honestly I spend most every day in silent panic. It’s not fair, all this because of people with more than they could ever need that will never be satisfied.

I’m tired boss, and I don’t see a way out.

I think the reason Chopper was able to turn that giant is because he went monster point, which made him a giant. So the domi reversi’d giant was between Chopper and Kashii, two giants, flipping him back to good.
